How do people learn dances?
I have no rhythm or coordination to speak of but want to learn some LL dances. Is it all in practice or are there tricks to get better faster?

Take actual dance classes. Learn the basics of how to dance and it'll make everything a lot easier to do.
If learning is your trouble download a video, mirror it, turn it down to 70%-80% speed, cut it to 30 second parts ( can all be done w vlc.) . Also try going with a metronome and counting the beats out, or work out what move goes with what sound.

LL dances are non-challenging dances so the classes really aren't necessary unless you want to try more difficult choreography. but they can help if you're just an incompetent dancer. Also, try and find somewhere where you can see part of yourself in a mirror. really helps !

I feel Show by Rock is on a case by case basis since some of the bands are idol groups while some definitely are not. Bands like Criticrista, Trichronika, Dolly Dulce and Plasmagica fit but dark bands and groups like DoS who have very plain outfits are probably out of place.

Put your hair in to several long braids then spiral them flat to your scalp before putting on your wig cap, not having one huge lump makes them fit better.

Tried that, the portable charger doesn't seem to have enough power to light it 100% of the time. I let it charge for 24 hours before and the lights turned on. Second try a few minutes later and it didn't light. Granted it was a super cheap one from Best Buy.

The LEDS actually run on an LED strip that wrap around the lining in the skirt. They should last quite a while with a decent power source. I'll let you know better when I can figure it out.

I made the Cyber costumes, not bought them, but I do have some (?) experience in LEDs from making them so this is what I'd do.

If you want to charge via means such as a portable charger, check the milliamp hours (mAh) -- generally, the larger the number the longer it'll hold its charge for. For a good charge I'd probably try to find one with minimum 4000mAh (usually these are on the more expensive end, but in the long term these also charge your phone up a LOT so they prove to be quite useful).

We used disposable batteries for ours which can get quite expensive if you're going to wear it a lot, but is easier to swap out batteries etc when they die. I'm assuming your LEDs will be 12v, if you cut off the USB connection and solder in a 12v battery pack housing 8AAs it'll last at full brightness for quite a while.

That being said, white is the brightest LED colour so it will always drain your batteries faster than any other colour.

There are groups that focus on almost exclusively cute concepts and some that use cute concepts every now and then.

Problem with a lot of love live costumes is they don't usually have much in the way of props just a lot accessories. If you dig through schoolido.lu there's a ton of fun small props and armor. Sex isn't really a problem considering a lot of skirt lengths unless you're talking "erotic sexy" like Ghost Maki here.

While one more cyber might not be impressive to a pedestrian like you, a well made cyber costume covers all the construction bases to be impressive in a contest to judges. Difficult materials, fit and tailoring, electronics, prop work, etc.

I've done Magician Nozomi and I'd say even if a lot of the intricate cards like that don't have props per se (Okay, Nozomi had the rose scepter...), a lot of the details actually take prop work to create and work out. It was quite a surprise how many different skills and methods the costume required. I have no doubts they could work very well in contests.
Gonna make Circus Nozomi next, and same here, I can't wait to get started on the lit up Muse-logo and stars.

So I got one of Hanayo's SR outfits in custom sizing, I'll post the shop link at the end. The seller sent me pictures when it was completed to show me that they did use my measurements, and it probably took about two weeks to get here. The quality is really nice, the fabric is a bit stiff but I don't mind that too much. As for sizing, they got it near perfect for my build (which I was really worried about since I usually have a lot of problems with my bust size)
As for the wig, I got it from an Ebay shop that I'll also link. It was a little last minute, since I'd planned to get a wig off of amazon and use prime, but when I went back and looked, the Hanayo wig didn't actually have prime, it was just some other wigs in the listing that did. For the price, it's a nice wig that has a lot more volume than I expected. Some of the fibers at the back base of the wig are kind of tangled, but I think that might be for volume purposes.
Overall, I'd recommend the Ali shop (they don't have many LL costumes, but if you see something you'd like I'd say go for it) and the Ebay shop is good on price and shipping, if either is a concern.

The biggest reason is because I needed something else for a con, and I didn't have enough time between getting out of school and the con itself to reach my ideal weight. Besides that, I'd have to stick with custom sizing for the bust too, since I'm currently at about 110 cm and I'm not sure if I'd lose enough weight from my bust to fit standard sizing. I don't mind if I have to alter the costume in the future though.

Maki is tricky, they offer a bunch of different colours and tones of red and if you get the wrong one it can look awful on you. My skin tone is rather pinkish so I avoid the full on red and went for a more toned down version which looks nice for me.

The one I have is perfect imo, though it's over a year old and reaching the end of it's tether now.

People either usually get the shade wrong, or style it badly. I went through 2 initial Maki wigs before i found my current one- The first was too thin/short and the curls looked like crap, and the second was too red as I had to improvise for a shoot and style a different wig.
Her hair is a coral red shade- I'll never understand why people go for bright red or dark red, it just doesn't look like her. Plus, people seem to struggle with getting the style right.

What do you think you'll need to custom dye? Even though Yohane's palette is a cooler version of You's (incredibly frustrating when trying to find trimmings and fabric!) I still found the colours I needed with relative ease.

Arda Nina silky in the equivalent color of desert brown. You'll need a weft to add the dumb hair fluff on top and on the bangs. Best to do it yourself and get it exactly the way you want it. Pick an Arda classic if you're wary of shine, they're fine too.

I personally got myself a Harley Quinn wig from ebay, the color was a nice blond rather than a super yellow color like a lot of Eli wigs seem to be. Had enough lenght to the bangs to easily style it for Eli and the extra ponytail can be used for extra wefts.

Depends on which producer you're going with, bt if it's the first one then yes, definitely do the P head. If its the other one you could always work in some extra make up to get that permanently pissed off look he's got going on.

I think her arm puffs (sorry forgot the word) and skirt are white and her bodice is light pink. Her dress in the art looks more pink due to the stage lighting, which throws off some of the colors, so I'd go with the model to decide which colors to use.

For the im@sfags, I'm cosplaying in Kaede's normal outfit this weekend and I have the outfit finished but I enjoy having props with me; any ideas? The best idea I could think of was getting a sake bottle and putting one of my im@s stickers on it.
