Yeah, they matched in indoor lighting in front of my mirror and then didn't match in outdoor photos, it's infuriating. I think I can fix it by getting a whiter (pure titanium dioxide instead of talc + titanium dioxide) setting powder for my face? Nothing wants to stick to the vinyl of the ears, they're "painted" with layers of pastel fixative + setting powder.

I honestly don't remember when I started it, but I think I started buying fabric after Anime LA in January? So about a month and a half, give or take. The helmet is a repainted Black Series, the belt buckle was 3D printed for me by a friend, and the saber hilt is a painted Arsenal Models replica.

I only officially wore her for a Halloween party (on the left, and forsook contacts because I knew I'd be too tired afterwards to remember to take them out), and on the right is a makeup test I did earlier. I've yet to get any good photoshoots with her but I'm praying for one last snow so I can get some good photos in the woods. JJ Industries got a mill in England to re-create screen accurate Kylo fabric, they're teaming up with Cosplay Fabrics to release it in the US, check their fb pages. It's probably going to be expensive as hell but they should be taking pre-orders within the next month or so. The fit of the bodice is a bit of a problem, ngl. The thing about telling someone to "lose weight" is that the weight might not come off around your bust much for it to matter anyway. Have you considered a light mocha or caramel colored cardigan to wear over the OP? It might take away the attention from the form of the fit. Also it will go with the brown theme that matches your shoes.

My only other nitpick is that the ribbon on your hat is a really bright blue. I would opt for a thinner ribbon that's more of a darker blue, like the ribbons on your dress.

Concrit, okay.

If we overlook the dress not fitting at all, and the peeking petti, it's a pretty decent coord. The blues all play pretty well together, and I love that basket.

The only other thing that stands out are the shoes, the tops of the shoes cut you off at the ankles, making your legs look stumpy and fat, and the beige-brown doesn't seem to "go" with the rest of the coord. I'd suggest swapping them out for regular pumps instead, or at least something with a lower front, in either blue or a shade of yellow/brown that plays better with your hat, hair and basket.

So boring, zero concrit on cof, got skipped on cof thread, looks like draw thread is bored by it too.

I wouldn't put any stock in being ignored by the draw thread -- it's always been hit or miss. One time the draw thread was completely filled with bad doodles (we're talking misshapen people drawn in pencil on lined notebook paper, photographed with a potato phone bad). And we went through a period where every single draw thread was completely derailed by either dumb arguments, trolls, or being raided by the nitpick/ita thread. It's a miracle if that thread stays on topic, let alone if every self-poster got a drawing.

Concrit: Nothing to give, really. The dress isn't the most exciting thing ever, but I do like how simple it is. Maybe the cat purse looks a little unpolished, like a kiddy toy purse, but it's a very small, tiny detail.

I guess if you really want the attention you could always go OTT and put a (stuffed) cat on your head instead of a hat. That should get people talking, though I'm not sure you'd like that kind of attention.

Oh, I think I remember you from the coord help thread.
Looking at those shoes now i think you should swap them for oxford heels in the same color, and wear some ruffle socks with them. The tights look kind of plain against the dress, maybe you could find a subtle print or lace pattern to wear instead.
From this angle I can't tell if your hat is decorated at all, but if it's not then add a ribbon and some flowers.
You could use some wristwear, probably want wristcuffs since the bracelets aren't very visable.
Also the size of that bag seem really awkward. Either find a larger sized cat bag or match the hat with a basket or straw bag.

Overall it's not bad, just a little plain. Your wig looks pretty though.

For your coord the different color headwear, bag, and shoes are kind of rustling my jimmies. I feel like you should match at least two of them together. The beret color seems most out of place since it's so bright, so I would try white or brown with that instead.
Also if you're going to wear a cardigan, button the top and don't scrunch up the sleeves. You might as well have taken it off.
If that messes up the color balance too much then wear a brown blouse like the other anon suggested. I think that with a white beret would be good, you could add a pink ribbon or another rosette to it too if you wanted.

My vinyl scratch cosplay: good, bad, or terrible? It's all made out of actual vinyl, which was a nightmare to work with. I just want feedback. I'm pretty proud of it though!

Thanks! I actually did buy some lycra to make an actual tail, but I had too little time to try to figure it out (I'm still kinda a beginner at sewing and I procrastinated a lot for the gathering I wore this at), and plus I didn't know how much I was gunna walk that day.

These were my major costumes from Sakuracon. I'm not sure happy with the fit of the blue and white one (that skirt was a nightmare) But I loved how the stockings turned out. The green and black one was really nerve wracking since I had never done "sexy" cosplay and I'm not very confident in my legs but I really liked how the costume itself turned out.

Have you thought about making your own stuff? I find that male body forms typically suit EGL nicely. Once you get a template and some measurements out, you just need to be careful with your sewing to look quite good. I'm no expert in lolita fashion though, so not sure what the comm's view on selfmade stuff is.

Threw together some armor for Momocon. Took off a few pieces (Shoulders, left arm guard, right knee pad) and sanded and scratched the armor to look battle worn.

Aw thanks. I actually didnt plan to wear the lace originally, but I was having too hard of a time finding a shirt that was tight enough, but also "frilly" or feminine in any way. Otherwise I looked like a dude in a normal shirt.
I also noticed the more frilly a shirt is, the less shape it gives, and is just baggy.
Found that shirt, and it was the only thing that looked decent enough. (Though when I interacted with people, and talked like my normal guy self, they seemed to have genuine surprised looks, as they told me they didnt know I was a guy. Only one person seemed to suspect I was a guy w/o me talking, but they weren't sure enough, and didnt want to come off "stupid" if they were wrong.)

I found the wig in ebay searching for "pink mixed white wig". I cut the bangs and styled the hair mixing gelatine leaves with hot water and later I used a hairdryer to fix the hairstyle until the product was dry.

I bought red extensions and sew them on the wig to blend the colors a bit, then cut the excess of hair. I tried to dye the pink to red first but I failed miserably. I think the problem was that I used red chinese ink mixed with alcohol and the alcohol repelled the ink. I should have used the ink just as it is or maybe dense red acrylics with a bit of water.

The ahoge was made using a translucent elastic band on a strand of hair at the top of the wig.

I used snazaroo in red and black. I applied it with a foundation brush and then sealed it with a butt ton of hairspray, which youre not supposed to do but its all I had :p

What you did looks great, especially with Snazaroo. If you plan on doing this again, I'd recommend getting a kabuki brush for the red (ELF has a pretty cheap one and that's available at Target). I'd also recommend getting a better black. Snaz's black kind of sucks, try getting Wolfe FX black (Amazon carries it). It will look crisper over the red. I'd also get some water color liner brushes or flat brushes (you can find them at craft stores for a few bucks). It will make those black marks on your chin look more well defined.

Seriously though, great job. There is nothing wrong with your application (although get yourself some real sealing spray) but if you buy a couple different supplies it will look even better!

idk if this is brand or not but the dress honestly doesn't look at all lolita to me. The sleeves are a very unusual cut for lolita (I don't think I've ever seen a lolita dress with that style sleeve desu?) and there's very few details on the dress as a whole.
