"Hello everyone
We're here to announce you a really sad news.
Last Thursday, Opaline Rose left us and joined the stars. She was talented, incredibly gifted and clever and of course absolutely elegant and smart. But she was also a dearly beloved friend for many of us.
Opaline will be buried on Friday March the 25th in the strictest privacy of her immediate family.
Were trying to turn her Facebook page as a commemorative page. For now, we invite you to comment this publication as a tribute to her

Her friends."

No mention of how she passed but very sad news, she looked so young and was a style inspiration for many

Not to sound like an asshole, but a lot of us didn't really know her. Seems more tasteful to keep commemorative discussion in, you know, the rufflechat thread dedicated to her.

she was a seagull, and you don't need to have intimately known her to be sad. I think many of us would feel more comfortable expressing our condolences on anon.

>> No.8926579

Gulls who browse here die or get ill all the time. She was really only known here for her wa coordinate.
Don't mean to hurt your feelings, but this is tacky. Anyone who wants to express condolences is probably on rufflechat, or friends with her loved ones, and can say them on the appropriate forums.

>> No.8926582

This is tragic.

She self posted in the draw thread a couple times that I remember

>> No.8926600

>It would be rude to flood the feels thread about her passing
No, that would make the thread relevant for once

>> No.8926604

ironically, it was because people accused her of constantly self-posting her wa coord and fucking hated her lol

>> No.8926616

Again, how did she die? She looks reasonably healthy and is young in all of these photos. Something about this feels somewhat random, hoping it wasn't suicide.

>> No.8926623

I can't believe this. She had such an amazing style, all of her coords seem really elegant, she never looked tacky. I hope her family and friends are all righ, and that she had a peaceful death. I still hope this is a troll post and that nothing actually happened to her.

>> No.8926624

>>8926582
She was active in the Seagull discords for about the last half of a year.

I really don't know what to say. She was a really wonderful person to talk to and get to know. This is heartbreaking.

>> No.8926625

>>8926600
>rude to flood feels threads
Well it would be more appropriate, but I still think it's bizarre behavior to feel you have to post anonymously and make a thread that could open a pandora's box of shit that people who are grieving or not don't really want to see. Especially when there are options available to post feelings and grieve.

>> No.8926628

there are many reasons why someone could die that isn't suicide, even if they're young and/or reasonably healthy.

alright, that's your opinion and that's fine, but clearly she's been loved and an inspiration for a lot of us, as you can see from the response to this thread. I didn't know her well enough to comment publicly and openly about it. just hide it if you don't like it, yeah?

>> No.8926660

This is so sad. I've messaged back and forth with her a few times on tumblr. She was always such an inspiration to me. I wish I could have known her in person, she seemed to have excellent taste.

Holy shit, that's her?

That's fucking awful-- I talked to her a few times on Discord. Wow, that breaks my heart.

probably. assblast anon from loligen needs to go on fb to tell them off instead of reading into 2 or 3 comments on here. ffs, i know that most of them are probably 14 year old tumblr edgelords but good god.

Go make a status on facebook. She was able to dress herself and then died, doesn't mean this is thread worthy.

there was like two comments in the general but most other comments about such are a lot more reasonable (mentioning if they perhaps sell for funeral costs, etc. which is a thing many do with valuable items.)
i haven't seen anything else outside those two (one could even be bait) comments though so that girl in RC sounds like she's overreacting.

she wasn't a shitty person, as evidenced by most reactions here.

yeah that one got a little extreme but that was just because it involved an actual killing.

ok so you either approve of this thread or you don't. I don't care either way, but for the people who just keep saying the same thing ("this thread is inappropriate"), you aren't making anything happen - if you really dislike this thread, then the best thing to do is just report it and a mod will delete if they want to, but bitching about it just keeps the thread alive and we also don't need to read the same post differently worded over and over again.

Uh friends of deceased lolitas and cosplayers have been upset by people posting them on 4chan before.
In particular the Australian lolita who was murdered last year, and that girl with the blue hair who jumped from a hotel balcony. It's really not nice, and "muh feelings" isn't really a good excuse to upset people who maybe don't want to see this at every turn. Or see people speculating about the cause of death or what happens to the brand.

This is tasteless and precedence doesn't change it.
