Pic related is my dream couple cosplay. I have to practice my sewing skills before attempting it though because I don't want to horribly butcher it.
I've done a few couple cosplays and I've always enjoyed them, I guess my only problem with them is dividing the workload equally because I usually end up doing 99% of the work. Mostly my fault though because I'm a control freak lol, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

One of my favorite couples is Mako and Gamagoori. I wish there were more decent cosplays of the two, but usually only fatties cosplay Mako.

Currently I'm trying to find a good couple cosplay for my boyfriend and I to do. The biggest issue is finding bearded characters because he looks like a fucking baby when he shaves. So far the only idea I have is Digby and Lottie from Animal Crossing, since Digby has a little bit of scruff that could be taken as a beard.

This was at Katsucon 2015. We did Fourze and Nadeshiko from Kamen Rider Fourze. There's not a big Tokusatsu audience on cgl I know but we got lots of compliments from fans and even had kids recognize us.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I prefer natural hair (even if it's badly dyed, cut, and/or styled) over wigs.

[opinion]
The way I see it, anime characters' hair is so radically stylized to help tell characters apart at a glance (because LOLsameface). Anime hairstyles are an exaggeration of what a character's hair would look like if they were a real 3DPD human, so it's forgivable for a cosplayer to have a slightly subdued version of their character's hairstyle.

I'll admit this opinion is colored by my own experience, I've always preferred doing cosplays where I could go without a wig.

See if he's willing to paint small things or hot glue or iron things with you! I think it could be a fun experience. My boyfriend doesn't like making cosplay because he hates sewing and isn't very god with a machine-and I think like most people, gets pretty discouraged when things like shit. However, starting small, like spray painting shit and crafting, he's gotten really good at working with EVA and making armor now and likes it too (since it looks good, haha).

Yeah it wasn't ideal, this was before we found out Arda makes larger wigs. Even they aren't that comfortable, just really struggle to find things that fit his head.
