1:1 scale cardboard DeLorean in the San Jose con center. Photos are free, donate to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research using Facebook on your mobile device and have an artist draw anything you want on the car as a decal. The bigger the donation, the bigger the drawing and more detailed it gets. No money needs to go through my hands and all donations are direct.

It's still in the very early stages of planning so I need to ask Fanime and the con center's permission first.

I'm going over my expenses for this project, and it looks like I'm going to have to bump up the price for now to $10 per card, in which half will go to charity.

I'm mainly doing this due to the upgrade costs to modernize this setup for a faster tablet and adding bluetooth support to the card printer. After I have all the parts in place, I will custom-make a rolly-cart to haul the setup around a con.

I can't fucking believe this but my parents of all people suggested I turn the machine into a cosplay so it looks more acceptable at cons. Essentially it would be a giant plush with the printer's guts stuffed inside.

Any ideas what I should turn it into?

Posting a rough to see if I'm doing ok and ask for feedback/suggestions.
I borrowed a lot of ideas from previous drawings in the shimmie,
and kind of changed some things from the design to the rough colored sketch because I was worried about too much detail on a card.
It was a bit difficult to think of something that wouldn't be too obstructed by the text o<-<

Finally done! The chip print was a joke but I'll just leave it here as well haha.
Also I have to add that I don't really know much about preparing images for print - I tried to keep the to printable colors whilst coloring but I'm not sure if it worked;; That said, if the colors look off or can be improved in general feel free to edit them.

The board colors are pink? Should the text match the seagull emblem's pink border?

Would slightly transparent text for the description portion of the card be viable? I just thought the text covered up a large portion of the design like the ita and seagull bags.

Have there been any suggestions for different fonts as well?

Sorry for the double post, but I just had an idea for the layout.

Why don't we make it look like a thread reply? ID image can go where images normally do, change "Anonymous" to your user ID/nickname, post date becomes your "shit posting since", and thread topic field becomes "4chan /cgl/ tripfag" etc etc. Our gull emblem can go in bottom or top right corner, and then that adorable image of the twins can take up the rest of the space. If we want special text, we could put it under the twins image in greentext.

On another note official cardholder member is redundant, but if that's intentionally done then just disregard this bit.

Wow, glad to see this thread is still alive.

So it looks like I won't be attending Fanime after all, but I would like to hit up AX over the weekend and bring the card printer there.

And for the first few batches of cards, I'd like to do some open auction bidding where 50% of the profits go to charity. Cash is kind of tight right now and I can't order the new rollers and ribbons yet, so having the first few cards with something like "Charter Member" on it I think would be a good way to show some VIP status to your fellow Seagulls.
