I visited once. They had Dreamy Jewel (actually prettier in person) so it's confirmed AP is sending them stock. They sell Meta and Putumayo too, and had Atelier Boz and Triple Fortune in their seasonal featured brand corner. Also tons of Misako products like her photobook. Unfortunately everything is like retail yen converted to USD price and cheaper than AP SF. I wish they inflated their prices more so it gives me another reason to dislike them.

I really wish AP SF would just lower their prices at least. I want to support them more but AP Int is always like 60 dollars cheaper. I don't think either of the US Baby stores do that and they seem to get by just fine.

They managed to do shit because somehow they're magically persuasive and now Texas has one of the biggest lolita shops in the US with a crazy amount of brand run by shitty people. Hooray. Giving it attention will only make it worse, we already have people asking about visiting Houston just to see it.

Nah not really. HLC has been splintered up in cliques and it doesn't feel like much of a community anymore, people just do private things nowadays. The drama has been shut down since everyone is tired of fighting and no one will speak up against those angry at the leighs. It's either talk shit or stay quiet. It's reasonable but it made things in the comm very tense. Personally I don't support them but I won't destroy friendships or bully anyone because of the Leighs, I'm not giving them the power to continue to ruin my community. But sone of the more heated activists against the Leighs will yell at those even considering to peek into the shop or talk shit about them behind their backs. This one girl actually went through a massive friend deletion because some girls went to see the shop in person. Everything has turned into silent "pick a side" here, which is stupid to me but oh well. I just miss having fun in lolita but its just how things are.

What? why? AP USA does the pop up shops at most cons and manages the whole thing. That's the whole reason you get stuff like that.

Also, while the prices are more expensive, it means that product is set aside just for overseas customers, which doesn't happen otherwise.

I think the problem is not only do quite a few of the more popular releases not get stocked properly, everything's more expensive. So you get stores full of less desired stock at bad prices.

Or even if they just got their shit together about shipping prices. Fuck their markup. How many times have we calculated what should be the cost of shipping vs. THEIR cost of shipping. I wouldn't mind their price hikes for the US store, but where the HELL is the shipping money going?

I worked at a Japanese clothing store for a while. The price hike we put on items was supposed to cover the cost to get it to us AND the profit the company wanted.
