Why would you cosplay a nazi?

Is nazi uniform inspired fine, too? I feel like there's quite a few characters that are.

In asian countries (Japan as best example) are nazi cosplays accepted and nobody cares. In european countries (especially Germany) is this a huge problem and forbidden. How is it in America? Eurofag here. I have the feel in America is this a half-half thing. More ok than in Europa but not so accepted like in asian countries. Nazi cosplay of japanese events is nothing special.

In Japan, I've seen some girls wearing kimonos and white make-up in the streets (mostly in Kyoto), japanese friends were saying they "dressed like geisha", was cool and no one was losing their shit

In Europe, you can literally be arrested, in the United States, you'll either get your ass kicked or will be associated with hate groups. It all pretty much goes back to that. I like to think of them originally as idealists that got caught up in preserving their ideals by any means.
