There's a lot of reasons it looks off, but mostly, nothing goes together. You've got white and ivory together on black, what looks like socks over tights, gold necklace and silver everywhere else, with differing levels of quality throughout. Individual items, minus the armwarmers and bow in her hair, could look cute in an outfit, but all together, it's just a mess.

I rememer she was getting concrit in lolita fashion mentoring for this. it looks far better than it did before. what happened here was she had just acquired the salopette and really wanted to wear it for the next meet, which I totally understand, but she needs to learn that you can't force themes into prints like that. or at least, she can't force black when it isn't present in the print whatsoever. such sweet pastel vomit prints like that are just so dependent on color matching.

Ok so this morning I was late for work. I had a shocking night's sleep because I had a nightmare that Chanel was chasing me in this horrifying coord. I overslept my alarm. I thought I had truly dreamt the whole coord because I couldn't find her post on CoF, only to see she'd deleted it to repost later.

I thought they were odd too, once you make the pic bigger you can see some other elements of red but if I was here I'd add some more red, maybe as ribbon ties on the end of the braids or something on the bag if it wasn't a backpack.
