Post all of your noob questions regarding Japanese shopping services and Tenso here.

Holy Lantern threads are getting clogged with repetitive questions, please do everyone a favor and take all questions here.

This thread is open to all shopping service questions as well.

How much is their forwarding service for sites like Coslook and Toranoana?

Can you use a chase visa card to buy Japanese stuff in general (like cosplays, etc.?)

What's the best shipping for armor pieces?

I live in the USA so what do I put down as the undervalue? I usually put down the amount I paid for. Is this a good idea?

>How much is their forwarding service for sites like Coslook and Toranoana?
It doesn't differ based on the websites. They charge you a base fee (something like 540 yen, and the shipping cost)
>Can you use a chase visa card to buy Japanese stuff in general (like cosplays, etc.?)
Yes, but some websites only accept a Japanese credit card so you'll need a shopping service there. (Tenso is a forwarding service)
>What's the best shipping for armor pieces?
? I don't know what you mean?
>I live in the USA so what do I put down as the undervalue? I usually put down the amount I paid for. Is this a good idea?
You don't really get hit with customs in the USA, but it's probably good to keep the value below a grand. If you google you can probably find what the actual number is. They wont charge customs on anything below x amount

And i don't know they have a shipping calculator.

I'm looking into using TaobaoRing to place my first order. I have just confirmed my order and am waiting for them to tell me whether the items are available or not. Once they confirm that item, can I still go back and add more items as long as I haven't given the first payment yet? Or can I only add items while they're seeking confirmation from the seller?

>> No.8671367

>>8671307
If you haven't paid yet, I think you can go back, add items, then re-send it in for confirmation if that makes sense. There should be an edit button. You could also just make another order and consolidate your items into one package if it's too late.

All you're doing with tenso is that they give you a Japanese address to use when you check out on AP's website. Tenso does not make the order and as stated tenso is not a shopping service but a forwarding service. Or am I misunderstanding you're question?

Tenso has it literally right on their website - all the types of ID they will take and exactly what they're looking for. Do note that some of the things they look for (like street address) are not on the documents they accept, I'm guessing that varies from country to country but they mention they accept health insurance cards but I know mine doesn't have my address, just my full name. Best to use a government issued ID.

Right after you register they give you the Japanese address and I think on that page there's a link to the ID verification page.

Not quite a shopping service question, more like a question about Taobao's forwarding service. Has anyone used it for Lolita stuff and how was your experience? I was already planning on using forwarding for some computer stuff but I was wondering if I could throw some Lolita into my order? Nothing custom, maybe a few ready-made blouses.

>> No.8672654

>>8672643
I personally have never used it because I keep getting that the site is busy whenever I try to get to the screen to pay. But girls use it for lolita things regularly judging by things I've read in the Taobao threads. If it's ready made items then it should work the same as buying anything else.
It can get a bit confusing when it comes to pre-order stuff, or anything that involves needing to contact the seller.

>> No.8672664

Posted this in the HL thread too, but if any of you gulls have any answers, I'd be over the moon. This shit is so complicated. I'm about to pull my hair out with this... I guess it depends. With FJ, you need to put a deposit in your account before you bid. So let's say you want to bid on an item and your max bid is $300, on Buyee you just bid, and it doesn't cost you anything and you don't need to put down a deposit. For FJ, before you can even bid on the item, you need to hand them $300. If you lose you can release the deposit and get your money back but I find it a little annoying.

Rakuten's address fields are slightly different from AP's:

Rakuten wants you to enter
4) Prefecture
5) municipality (市/区/郡)
6) everything that comes after municipality (town, block, house no., building name,....)
