I was so lucky to grab a bunch of stuff in the 50% off sale but I can't see myself shopping there again unless they have another sale or make some reductions. I probably sound like and entitled shit but when taobao etc offer arguably nicer pieces at similar prices, not to mention the second-hand market, there's little reason for me to shop there at the moment at all.

For what it's worth, in my opinion 1348 is lovely with lots of nice details and cotton lace, it's even worth buying at it's current price. Has a bit of an oldchool vibe as well with the corset lacing, without you necessarily having to coord it in an oldschool way. There are still a few worthwhile purchases to be made on the site but I think I've probably already picked up the best value items (for the quality) on there already

Not my pics btw.

Nah, you make a really good point, anon. The prices that they give could be spent on secondhand brand so it's not worth the regular price. I really wanted to snag that sailor dress when the 50% off sale happened but by the time I got home, it was over.

I agree anon, I wouldn't buy at their normal prices, it's just not worth it for what you're getting. I got two nice OPs in the sale for €35 and free shipping, but at normal prices I'm as well to just buy second hand brand or whatever else.

But what about shipping prices and such?

I got my BL order from the sale, finally. I sold off all my bodyline dresses/skirts a while back, but I bought the cinderella bunny skirt because it was $20. I feel mildly disappointed at it when looking up close, the colors are so fucking neon and the print is big and blotchy. The fabric is soft, but it doesn't lay flat and gets kind of lumpy. But far away it looks pretty cute. I'm considering trying to lighten it? Is that a thing?
The rose wristcuffs are so good though, 10/10 worth $4

Acc1040 is my favourite - flowers are much nicer than I had expected. There's a little sheen to the ribbon but no cheap shine. The lace is normal bodyline quality - a little shiny and not the softest but not scratchy either.
Acc1078 isn't as nice - the lace is quite stiff but not scratchy. They'll look fine but I don't love them. On the pink pair every piece is a different shade of pink. The base lace is somewhere between bodyline's pink and dark pink shoes, the bow is close to their regular pink shoes and the pearls are quite peachy - I'll probably cut them off tbh. On the black pair it's just normal beads, not pearls. Overall I would recommend acc1040 over acc1078

My bathroom lighting makes everything look really purple - sorry! It's a really pretty milk tea colour in real life and not as shiny in natural light. I's very thick and looks quite natural. The curls aren't as uniform as in the stock photo which I prefer but for some that could be a disappointment. My only problem is that the fringe is really wide and blunt. It doesn't taper into a longer cut at the sides at all and makes my face look wider than it is. In the picture I've pinned the sides of the fringe underneath the main long parts but it's still not perfect. I can deal with it but I would prefer if it tapered a bit.

These are much lighter than my other BL pink shoes, in this picture they almost look white but they're just a soft pink. I need a heel guard for these and they're a huge pain in the butt to get on and off because of the lace up design. They're really cute though and standard BL quality. Because of the lace up design they can accommodate a higher arch with ease and I imagine a wide foot as well. True to size as far as I can tell. The lacing is little hard to pull through the eyelets (it doesn't slide through, it kind of grips is the best way I can describe it.) The bows are well secured.

These are the typical gold colour of the other BL gold shoes. They fit quite snug, I would maybe have gone up a size but I think with a bit of wear they'll stretch out and be comfortable. The buckles are not real, they just clip down with a snap clip. The scallops around the sides have hearts cut out and they are all nice and cleanly done. The hearts on the side of the heels are cute and sewn on neatly and securely, the bows are also well secured and the ones on the straps are not movable. If you need to make the straps any tighter than what the original three buckle holes allow you may be in a bit of trouble because of those bows. I have a high arch and I need to punch another hole in the end of the strap, I imagine wide feet would have the same problem. This is the same on all of these shoes and it's been my experience with all BL shoes in general, just take them to a cobbler or you can stick a hole in with a safety pin but it's kind of hard, definitely doable though. These and the pink ones came with a strong spray paint kind of smell that I'm sure will go away with time, it's not strong enough that you'll smell it while wearing them though, only if you're like sniffing your shoes and let's be honest how often are you doing that.

These run true to size and are nice and comfortable, the buckles over the foot are real buckles and the one around the ankle is one of those weird like hook type they sometimes use. They feel nice and sturdy and are comfortable and easy to walk in. They're very glossy so go with the matte version if you're not keen on that. Definitely need to add holes to the front two straps of these though, they're quite short.

These are the most comfortable of all of these shoes. They're not too heavy despite the look. The buckles on these are a snap on style. They kind of smell like a rubber stamp? It's nowhere near as strong as the smell of the pink and gold pairs, very faint. The strap on these is the longest out of all of them. They're nice and easy to walk in and look cute. I like these the most out of all the ones I ordered and might order them in the other colours too at some stage.

The pompoms on these are really really soft and are attached with a piece of elastic. You can take these off entirely or put them on any of the other straps. I think I read once that they're rabbit fur but I'm not sure about that, but if that's something you're worried about maybe just don't risk it? The buckles are heart shaped (so are the ones on the gold ones, forgot to mention sorry) and are snap on. They're very very short on the front two.all the heart shaped cut outs around the scalloped edges are nice and clean. The bows on the straps aresecured down and are not movable. You can remove the ankle strap on these and the shiny pair if you want. Maybe go up a size? They're a little bit tight on me.
I got these all in 24.5 and wear an AUS 8.5-9 for reference.

I just noticed this on the receipt email they sent and I'm baffled. I have not received my package and I'm not sure what I should do. I'm a little concerned that it will get sent back and they will just refund the money. I'd prefer to just have my package since I went through the trouble of waiting until the items were on sale.

My bust is 106 and it looks fine. No gaps at the buttons, no boob loaf, my chest barely makes the shirring stretch at all. The bottom portion is really wide so it wouldn't stuff well into a skirt, it would have to lay on top.

Opened my packages today. Ordered 6 pairs of shoes and 5 of them had yellow mold all over them. With what research I could manage it seems like a pretty bad mold type as well... I'm kind of pisses but also glad I don't have mold allergies.

I own it in sax and I love it unironically. It fits me well, though the other anons are right in saying that you shouldn't have a big bust if you want to buy it.

This review of it pretty much sums up my feelings:

Also the bolero can actually look cute when mix and matched with other items, but in general it looks best with old school styled clothing (think old school sweet that's not bxw)

>> No.8667560

>>8667555
Get some arch support inserts if you buy them, they're fairly stable although like all high platforms, walking on cobblestone and high pile carpet is hell. Order half a size up, they run narrow

>> No.8667561

>>8667555
They run small so size up. If you've never worn rocking horse shoes before, you're going to feel weird trying to balance yourself on them. The "wood" is just rubber so they're not the most sturdy, but they hold up fine when not worn 24/7.

Yeah pretty much. It's main function within the community was as a Walmart-esque shop where you could pick up a few wardrobe fillers, some cheap dresses for casual wear, and while their stuff is sometimes really awful, you could realistically build the bulk of a wardrobe from the good stuff they sell if you couldn't afford brand.

When I was started out about six years ago, you could get a pretty nice jsk from Bodyline for about 2500-3500 yen. Nowadays their dress prices are mostly anything from 4000 to 8000 yen, while their quality has stayed very much the same, maybe with more backwards prints to speak of.

On any given day when Closetchild updates, you can pick up a great condition AP jsk for as low as 6800. When second hand brand is that cheap, it's worth buying instead of a Bodyline dress. A few years ago it made sense when the second hand market wasn't as accessible or plentiful, and you could buy five or six bodyline dresses for the price of one brand dress, but that is rarely the case anymore.

TL;DR, you bet.
