I try to keep it more authentic, Nothing flashy but I always have some type of bang (side, down crown braid) and atleast one hair accessory. As long as the hair is maintained I don't feel a big need to style it like other fashions.

That not the one I want advice on, I hadn't drawn out the one I wanted advice on at that stage.

The one I wanted advice on was swiss roll/strawberryshortcake. As she is the shortest character (because I am unoriginal) I want her uniform to express that in some way to add interest and diversity to the way the characters wear their uniform. Basically I have so far
>the 'you'll grow into it'
>sleeves too long
>collar comically big
>skirt longer than shorter
>sitting on hips rather than waist.

>just a too large cardigan pretty much

>& finally just a normal fitting uniform
>sitting at natural waist
>medium length skirt.

I am also looking for suggestions beyond what I included in the designs for things people will think would work.

>> No.8580870

>>8580589
Yeah, definitely. Plenty of people wear stuff like that on a regular basis anyway, they tend to look real enough to most people. If you decide you don't like how they look, though, there's no problem with going bangless.

>> No.8580876

>>8580790
I like the second one best, the first one could work too but you'd have to be careful to communicate "this uniform is too big" rather than "she wears her uniform in a messy way".

Where can you buy uniform shirts? Like, good quality plain white shirts. I've ran through all the clothing stores where I live (H&M, Primark, etc, etc) and there are NONE. Every shirt for women either isn't fully buttoned, has hidden buttons, is transparent or chiffon. It's like I'm going insane, how come I can't find such a simple thing? (I'm an Eurofag btw). There are quite a few school uniform supplier shops here in England as school uniforms are the standard in all schools, some of which have online shops you might be able to purchase from. I am using items from my actual old school uniform for nanchatte. They might be kind of pricey though, I don't know. Another anon in the last thread linked to Asda school uniform section which was really inexpensive, but I noticed alot of items (most notably larger sizes) were out of stock which makes sense as everyone's starting the new school term.
I have also thrifted some shirts and I got a pair of loafers from eBay.
I wouldn't cheap out on the cardigans however, it's the one item I would go all out on, the wrong cardigan can really throw the look of nanchatte and make the whole thing wrong. I'd really suggest getting a proper Japanese nanchatte cardigan from either a Taobao seller, or Aliexpress or some Japanese supplier. I have two which I got from After School Club on Taobao, they have Japanese lables inside and trust me, they really do make a difference. Quoting Asda anon: I use this for blouses (for ref. I'm 5'3 idfk my weight, but the blouses for 13-14 year olds fit me perfectly, cardigans in the sizes for 12-14 year olds fit me great as well. Just wear skin coloured bras, otherwise it'll show through your blouse.)

I used to wear a vest or light T-shirt under my school shirt during autumn/winter anyway so that might be worth noting.

Nanchatte is kind of an idealised version of a school uniform for alot of girls so short skirts are probably mostly worn because these girls deem them cuter (and make their legs look longer in some cases). As another anon pointed out shorter skirts are mostly prevalent in the kogal look, but are not necessary, a longer skirt doesn't make an outfit not nanchatte, it might push it more into standard school uniform territory depending on how you accessorize and what other items you wear with it.

I've been watching anime for so long that I honestly have no idea how easily recognizable it would be as a school uniform. Please edit the skirt lenght thing, or add a paragraph in the begginer's guide about kogal and gyaru fashion. It's not mandatory in the fashion for the skirts to be worn just above the knee, kogal wear them even shorter, as do other girls because they feel it makes their legs look longer. The only thing that is a big no-no in terms of modesty is cleavage showing.

Anon!!! How would you say the pink one's quality is? I've been eyeing it for ages!

>> No.8629994

I really love these kinds of school uniforms however i am 6 foot tall and i can't seem to find stuff that has long enough sleeves.

Any ideas on what i could do? I already have plenty of summer uniforms.

If only something like this was actually an option.

It's so fucking shitty being tall, all these cute outfits i want but i will never be able to wear them properly...

at least being tall comes with longer legs/torso

you can rock a lot of western fashion that includes jean shorts/croptops/any popular clothing item because tall people appear thinner

not only that, but it would also be easy for you to get a modeling job (granted you look white and don't have a horseface)

>> No.8631489

>>8631475
So many clothes are made with tall people in mind too
Like I'm 5'3-4", I'm not even THAT short, but you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a short coat that doesn't reach down to my knees

>> No.8631515

Newfag question, but do you need a shopping service to order from Conomi?

>> No.8631570

>>8631475
What are you even talking about? Being tall and looking 'white' doesn't auto guarantee model jobs.

>> No.8631614

>>8631475
That's unfortunate because i really don't care much for western fashion.

They're both from Bodyline and they're both good quality! I think they'll wear out fast though, the back and side part, which is close to my messenger bag, gets a bit scuffed. But for the price you pay for them they're great, honestly. And they have POCKETS.

>> No.8632681

>>8631570
It doesn't, but it does make it easier than if you weren't white and tall.

>A+ reading comprehension bro

>> No.8632769

>>8632681
Actually no, depends on the modelling industry, fashion type, country etc.
Also how is that statement relevant to >>8630537 wanting to fit into nanchatte. This is a nanchatte thread, maybe you should be more concerned about your own reading comprehension, 'bro'.

>> No.8632784

>>8632769
The anon I originally responded to is likely from an english speaking country, where being tall, thin, and pale are traits that make it easier to be a model. Keep championing your bullshit "even though most models in english speaking countries are white because they fufill the beauty standard, i'm gonna ignore that and pretend that they don't have an advantage in the field," though.

You don't get to harp on me about OT when >>8631570 started the OT conversation train, that's hipocrite as fuck.

One anon complained about her height and how it causes trouble for her in jfashion, so I tried to list some positives of being tall when other anon got butthurt because she couldn't properly read, follow the conversation.

All that rage is pointless anyway as all anon wants is to be small and cute and fit into Japanese nanchatte. Not a lanky pasty model in westerner normalfag shit.

As it starts to get colder, would it be alright to wear stockings/pantyhose with loose socks as well? Or would that look too weird?

>> No.8633408

You can wear those thermal, nude party hose. It's popular in China to do that in colder seasons.

It's a hexagram, used in the occult for centuries. I'm assuming this design is going for a gothic/occult theme, Asian countries like Japan have no hyper sensitivity regarding religious symbols like America.
