OP here. I don't have a vendetta against anyone. I asked for new people because every time we have a Zelda thread the same cosplayers/photos are posted over and over again, which gets kind of boring after a while. I was hoping to find new people to follow as well.

You're welcome to post pictures of Li. She's a great cosplayer but keep in mind that her photos are everywhere and we've already seen them before. She also hasn't really cosplayed very many characters besides the main characters, and some of us really enjoy seeing side characters. But go ahead and post them, no one's going to complain.

I cosplayed Medli earlier this year! I had a lot of trouble doing the beak but I ended up making it out of paper clay by pressing a thin flat piece over my nose to get the right shape then letting that dry for a few days and then building up on top of the it with more paper clay to get the shape (then sanded and painted) :) I was pretty happy with it! I attached it with spirit gum just fine since paper clay is so light :P

I used sculpey clay and attached via spirit gum. I also left a bit of a hole at the bottom so that I could breathe haha. Definitely make the beak with clay and attach with spirit gum. I one made the mistake of attaching something with eyelash glue and got mad hives.

She does a good job of photography/photo touch ups, but honestly her Link cosplay is so dated. She might have been the gold standard back in 2005, but today there are tons of better Link cosplayers out there. Microfiber boots, satin trim tunic, muddy shield and other details she never got right. But as you illustrate, her fangirls will always complain whenever she's not in the spotlight.

Before you made this reply, exactly 60 pictures (of cosplays only) were posted. 46 of them were posted by me. So no, you didn't post most of the photos in this thread.

A couple anons made some ignorant statements because they weren't entirely familiar with her new stuff. So what? None of what they said seems like a vendetta to me. They were just saying they feel like there are other people deserving of the spotlight. That's it. And most everyone arguing against you has said they like/respect her, they just don't like her fans who put others down.

In short, we're all fans of a silly little video game series and want to show our love for the characters by wearing costumes. Most of us aren't competing for anything, we just want to be our favorite characters for a day. One of us happened to grab Nintendo's attention, and that's fine. Most of us are happy for her or don't care either way, because cosplay is really just a hobby for most of us. It's stupid to say that anybody who doesn't care for this one lucky individual is a jealous pig, because underneath all the Facebook likes and being Nintendo's favorite, she's just like the rest of us: a Zelda fan who cosplays.

When I did Vaati, I used the bodypaint to also paint the ears. Again, two coats and if I missed a spot or something, I touched it up in PS.

I like how the games usually have this feel. Like, with Ocarina of Time, you could tell who were Kokiri, or just the way people dressed and looked had a very Zelda world feel. Hyrule warriors was just all over the place? The world building in it was just so poorly done. When I last cosplayed Marin from LA at an event, I think I got recognised about two times? Every Link cosplayer completely blanked me, which was as hilarious as it was tragic.

This is probably a question that's better suited for the help thread since this one is about to hit autosage.

All you really need is craft foam, model magic and some kind of sealant, and then a heat source to form the shape. A lot of people have put up patterns for TP Zelda's armor which you could modify, or you can look up tutorials form making armor patterns. Google is your ally.

Akuriko also goes into depth about how she made her pauldrons on her Deviant Art page. Try looking there.
