I think it's just your bangs that are making it look off. They look like they're cut too long and on a weird angle, and I'm expecing you to have longer hair in the back because of that. I'd try cutting shorter bangs in a straight line, but still have them feather them enough to look natural. Half way on your forehead seems about good.
Or, why not try a half wig? Misako talked about them in a kawaii pateen video, she literally just folds a wig under and slaps a bow on it. My aunt has a similar one that's actually meant for that purpose, and as long as you have something covering the line, it looks natural.
