So I ordered a dress with Dear Celine directly using the package forwarding service.

The dress shipped to yoybuy (lol damnit I already had stuff stored there) and I waited a week or 2 because I was wondering if I needed to add stuff for a coord.

Anyways the package gets shipped. It arrives and I open it, but it's the fucking wrong color and it's a really awful color, damnit.

It's been quite a long time since the dress arrived at yoybuy - I doubt Dear Celine will give a shit.

I made an order with akilya back in May, and my taobao agent said yesterday that the shop burned down in a fire last month, therefore I wouldn't see my items any time soon. I see nothing about a fire on akilya's taobao or the BestWish weibo.

It's not yoybuy's fault. I used yoybuy as a parcel fowarder. They wouldn't have a clue what the order was. It's Dear Celine's fault, but it's way past the deadline for complaining. This is just a risk you have to take with parcel fowarding. I will just go with a normal SS next time.

So this arrived this morning and I finally got around after work to take photos of everything/try stuff on. Will be uploading review of Strawberry Witch JSK and the stuff from Miss Point since someone asked a few threads ago.

Strawberry Witch took the longest out of all my items to get to my SS. Almost 4 weeks total. I paid $35 (SS fees and domestic shipping) and it feels like it should be twice that. I bought a size L as I am 5'9ft and it was solely for the length. It hits my knees and the dress sits perfectly at my natural waist. I don't know if it'll be the same as other tall lolitas as I have a 30.5in bust/ completely flat chested. It's still pretty stretchy though. It's fully lined and comes with the big bow and little one in the photo which wasn't pictured on the listing. The big bow looks adorable as a headpiece.
Going to be purchasing the light blue color way later this month as I'm very satisfied with the fit and look of it.

Miss Point took 1.5 weeks to ship. I paid $66 total. The skirt and cape are pretty heavy, made out of some kind of thick stiff fabric. And when I pulled them out of the bag they were extremely wrinkled. I ironed the cape and a bit of the skirt (will iron it more later) and fixed that problem. Fit wise the skirt is big on me, the listing says 29in for L and It's around 30. The straps just fit because of my height. I'm just going to take it in a few inches to fit me better, not a big deal. I really like the cape as it works in Ouji too. The skirt is lined as well.

The vest is a size M. Perfect fit, even with my flat chest. I like how theres a bit of fabric behind the buttons so you can't see through the gap. Unlike the cape & skirt the clasps are metal.

It's 10 yuan for the first kg and 4 yuan for any additional kg. Add up how many 2 yuan "items" you need to add to your cart. List the shipping address as the return address taobao gives you.

Once you buy it, contact the forwarding service via alibaba to confirm that you bought the return postage. They will let you know when it's shipped (the tracking number will also show on your bought items list).
Also, don't hesitate to contact the forwarding service if you need help with the return! They've been pretty nice in my experiences and will guide you through it.

And another note, if you happen to have return shipping insurance (sometimes offered by taobao for free or for a small fee) and it's still valid, I think it can cover the cost of return shipping, but I've never tried it.

I ordered the Mucha skirt from Souffle Song but I think at the time it was overstocked and on sale and pretty much arrived with SS in a week.

I also ordered that oil painting one from Neverland and I think it took maybe 6 weeks and then got "lost in the post" to my SS and I was refunded..

Anon...you know that even if they made it super quick they have to ship it domestically to the SS which takes a few days, then ship it overseas. Even if you use EMS it takes about 10 days to ship in my experience. Plus you have to throw SS processing time in there. It's really not going to make it in 20 days.

Brightele wig first. I ordered color ZH and it's pretty true to color imo. First row is inside (yellow) light, second is natural light through the window. It's a very nice warm brown that has very natural shine. The hair seems a little thin, but it's not bad and with some teasing it would look great. All in all I'm very happy with it. This is definitely and an odd wig. It can go back and forth between grey and purple depending on the light and shadows. After looking closely it seems like some of the inner layers are a light dusty blue color, and the outside is a grey/ashen blonde mix. It's really pretty and I like it a lot... but it's really short. The stock photo makes it look like it just brushes the shoulders, but as you can see it's just barely longer than a chin length bob. At the chin it's about 30 cm and at the back it's 38 cm. Although to be fair, it does say on the listing that the wig is 40 cm at the longest so I guess that's my fault for missing that. It's a cute wig, but I'm not super happy with the cut. I think it can be styled a little differently though so I may try that.

What I don't understand is that there are items from eight different stores in that package, and each waybill number from each store eventually tracks that one package. No, as I mentioned here >>8606285 when the forwarding service ships out the items you consolidated, taobao automatically attaches the EMS tracking information to all of the items you ordered. So it's like your items have two tracking numbers, one the seller gave to the warehouse, and one for the item's journey to you.

The only thing I can think of is to try checking your messages area. sometimes for larger items the forwarding service uses volumetric weight instead of metric. Usually these items have a tag saying "airline limit" or something on it, though.
However, notebooks definitely shouldn't weight that much so you should contact the forwarding service and ask them about it.

Taobaospree let me back when I used them. I've also successfully bought two preordered items directly, and one has already been shipped to the warehouse. The only added step you need to do is to check their store every now and then so you don't miss the final payment. They don't message you, in my experience. I also just discovered the 'similar item' feature but it only works while you are brownsing the search page (just put the mouse on any item you want and an orange bar appears, click it then it takes you to a page with the same items with the same photos. If I want to look for sames of a specific item (the sailor blouse for example) just search for the name of the item then use the 'similar item' feature from the search page.

My usual bust size is about 100~cm with the binder it's 95~cm.
The binder is like a tight undershirt so it's pretty easy to putt on and also quite stretchy. I haven't worn it for more then 10 minutes but it seems very comfortable and the fabric is breathable so I don't think it will be to terrible to wear under lolita/cosplay.

It's a thin metal crown (.3mm?), very light, and very flexible (like you can flex it in half easily). It's a good staple for a classic coord with a regal theme. It came in a gift box size package (big enough for the crown) and was slightly bent at the tips from package handling. I've gone through it just fine. It's a hassle, but if the order is complicated like something custom, I think it's worth it to have agents who have good english skills and actually try. Pretty much what >>8615869 is saying. Something messed up their paypall, but I still haven't heard any recent bad feedback for them (and I digged before the last order).

That's good to know. I got Cici but I think I'm going to go with spreenow, because the support chat was very helpful, and they got back to me very fast and with very good English. It's rather urgent, and taobaospree were a little slow. It's my first taobao order - I'll go with taobaospree next time, when I buy cute cheap stuff that's not urgent, and I can properly use the spreadsheet and not be in a rush, and I can figure out their new website in my own time (rather than praying for a fast response on /cgl/) . I have noticed taobaospree has gotten slower lately. I think it's because a lot of their agents either went on maternity leave or quit after getting married in very close proximity, and now there are way more orders for those remaining. That's what I've managed to piece together. But, I hope your spreenow order goes well! If so, can you leave a review for them? I will always order directly now aside from things I need custom made, but I'd like to get a 2nd backup agency for those eventualities.

Taobao is full of cute earmuffs. But, I haven't had a chance to find out if they will do me any good. The winters aren't long here, and definitely not as bad as anyone in NY or Canada. But, my ears are pretty sensitive. So, here is a try!

I just navigated buying a Nozomi costume with a lot of badly translated options, so I thought I could help, but that is very confusing, anon. I think your best bet might be to find a shopping service that has good English, circle the ones you want - either the store's images or the one you attached and ask them to get those for you.

There's no option for Nozomi. You might want to get your service to ask for you, but I'm thinking they're just about sold out and these are just the leftovers.

Does anyone know what terms to use for sailor hats that look like this? I've tried sailor hat, sailor cap, lolita sailor hat, sailor hat cos, ect, but I almost exclusively get navy and military styles hats, or sailor caps with wide shade brims, ect. I've found pic related and four other listings exactly like it, but it seems they're all milanoo-quality front shops listing it at the exact same price with the exact same picture. I'm buying my gf a present, so I'd hate for it to come in looking nothing like it's supposed to. Any recommendations for cute sailor/nautical accessories/shoes/other hats are very welcome as well.

There are a lot of sellers who'll ship directly to you? I don't even speak chinese, but google translate works well enough if you're just asking them if they'd send to you directly. You don't save money usually though, just a heads up. The freight forwarder gets a huge discount in EMS/DHL that normal shops and sellers do not. This is assuming you have a taobao account. If you don't. you have to find the rare shops who'll let you pay with paypal and take orders by email like the big lolita shoe shoes do.

You can salvage this, anon. Do you have a picture of the earrings you got? Cause you can always pass it off as fashion style if you wear the solo earring in one ear and then pair it up with a matching/complimentary color small earring in the other. Like, those little pearl shaped earrings like pic related that come in a bunch of colors. Or any shaped earring that's small like those.
