We have threads about what prints we'd like to see all the time, but I've never seen a thread about our dream non-print dresses. Let's see how this thread goes.

Gulls, what solid or generic print (plaids, polkadots etc) dresses are you dying to see? Tell me your dream nonprint dresses.

For me, lately I've been dying for more tweed and tweed-plaid dresses for fall. There are a few, but most of them are decently old and difficult to come by. I would love a simple and versatile IW style square bodice dress with a wine or brown tweed like pic related, something simple and librarian-y with maybe a waistbelt or waist ribbon or some covered fabric buttons. Especially if it was pleated.

Don't think I've even seen any photos of the non-Fleur Anoinettes before.

I want to see more stuff made from fabric with raised detailing like dotted swiss or dobby. Embroidery done in the same colour as the fabric would be nice too, subtle details and all that.

I feel your pain. I've been sewing my own dark green dresses for a decade now. For some reason it seems my love for darker shades of green is shared by no one, or those dresses come in velvet and I'm already drowning in velvet dresses.
