I had a huge freckle on my upper lip which was lightened up since high school, but people would make remarks about there being chocolate on my mouth constantly when it was just a dark freckle. It may not seem like much, but it was really shitty to hear that comment all the time. I have some dark ones under my eyes too that make me constantly look tired because they look like they blend together sometimes.

Hey, this is the Lapis from the big SU group. Our Pearl really is a ballerina. She's been dancing for 5 years now iirc.

As for my wig, it's really more flippy at the back. It's not very visible up front, but here's a pic of it from the back.

I know my body paint is splotchy, any tips on how to make it look cleaner? I'll also probably remix my paints since in the pic they don't really match my tights.

NGL I think people in this thread don't understand that a Lapis wig that flips in the back isn't visible from the front.... straight-on, it looks like a bob cut. The only way to see the full styling is for the cosplayer to have her head turned more than 3/4ths to the side.

Okay, noted. I'll try to spray my wig a bit more and flip it to the sides too.

I used Snazaroo, but I think it was my mistake I didn't add a second layer when I was painting. My first snazaroo paint mix got stolen so i'm making another one with this local brand called Golden Phoenix. Not sure how it's gonna turn out, but a few swatches from it seem okay-ish.

That's definitely your mistake. Just keep layering until everything is opaque. For the hands/palms, just try to get as much tint on as you can and accept that it will rub off and you'll need to photoshop them later.

Hey, thanks for thinking our group was fine. Most of us were debuting our costumes for the first time.
Pearl shoes, though inaccurate, were used because being a ballerina, she wanted to use ballet shoes that would be easier to accurately pose in.
I purposely did not post-process Lapis paint as much because the texture of Lapis Lazuli is slightly marbled which I thought looked nice on pic.
Sapph's costume wasn't finished on time. She's still part of our group so it'd be rude to ask her to go just because of that.
Jasper's wig is incredibly poofy. Better in person, trust me.
Anyway, that's really the main nitpicks so I'll go back to filing my reports.

I've got this gut feeling that Mitternacht's Malachite cosplay has been posted before in another thread, but I'll post it again.

I've got some nitpicks --the hands on the front could have really been done differently to cover her shoes, for instance-- but this is one of the better fusions I've seen done. I do believe she has changed the way she does the second-eye makeup, now.

The back legs also move, apparently, which is pretty cool.
