I'll dump some pics but I also have a question. I bought some white greasepaint and it's really nice. But how do you apply the powder on top? When I try it with a brush, the texture of the brush just presses into the greasepaint. What am I doing wrong? It's a soft and fluffy brush.

Grease paint that stays on in hot weather? Or getting it to stay on in hot weather? Or is this impossible? The college I'm going to is in Savannah, Georgia and even on Halloween it's going to be hot and humid and I'm hoping to wear a guro themed shironuri coord but I don't want my paint melting off

If you seal it well i don't see why it would come off. But then again i don't know how MD heat+humididty compares to Georgia heat+ humidity

I actually live in NoVA and Georgia in fall/early spring is what it's like here during the worst of August (aka disgusting)
I guess I'll just invest in a better setting powder. Or maybe try something more suitable for the heat, since I was planning on doing it full-body white style, covering hands and legs with gloves/tights/etc

I recommend Skin Prep Pro,
it dries the everloving fuck out of your face so you're going to want to moisturize your face before and after but it really helps to keep you from sweating the paint off.
Also use a makeup primer and a setting spray.
You'll have to redo it some parts after 4 hours or so (depending if your outside with it on)
Also be careful on Halloween if you're going out in Shironuri especially if you're near Broughton street or River street, there are a lot of drunk assholes. But the SCAD kids will be just as dressed up so you won't be alone.

Minori is easier to imitate, so she gets quoted as shironuri inspo more often.

I think it's because Minori worked specifically to get her name out there as an artist using shironuri as her medium. She's put over several books, she has her own social media on several platforms, etc.

Plus Minori's look is more artistic based while No.96 is horror? So Minori is less niche when it comes to appeal.

Yes totally agree with this. The Shironuri thread is one of the most positive on /cgl/. We even had a anon try out different make-up and post it here!
And indeed most of the members have a fb page or a tumblr.

Can't quote other post cause on tiny mobile but I don't think he's shironuri either. He's fop/dandy which is a totally different look from a totally different region. Shironuri and dandy both have white faces but it's completely different application methods and overall makeup styles. Dandy is European historical with powder and Shironuri is Asian theatrical with paint.
