/cgl/ has honestly taught me so much shit that I'd otherwise not know that I'm really grateful to ALL seagulls. If they contribute content, I'm learning from it. If they're shitposting, they're keeping this place lively.

I used to have that "oh I guess this is close enough right I can't look like 2D" attitude to cosplay but the shit posted here has shown me otherwise. I end up nitpicking my own stuff as harshly as I do on the shit cosplay threads. This place really helps with the reality checks.

I had a friend in high school with a pretty rough house. It was weird because it wasn't a hoarder thing, it was like, they just let her younger siblings run amok in it and never fixed anything. There were holes punched in the drywall all around the floor because the parents let them ride bikes and pedal cars indoors, and the kids would purposely ram into the walls.
