I don't have much vitriol aimed at the series itself, but I am pretty tired of the designs for Love Live. They're just... not very good or appealing outside of the context of "anime idol girl." It works for what it is, but they aren't terribly pretty clothes.

Back when cosplay was ramping up to the competition-fest that it is now people were in awe of the detail in Alichino cosplay. I distinctly remember it being one of Yaya's first elaborate outfits. In the pictures I see the skirt spread on the ground is like maybe 5 ft out max, while the character is sitting. after googling it is a french Disney channel cartoon called 'lolirock'. Seems to follow in a mgaical girl/winx club sort of fashion. Magical kingdom overun by a tyrant, princess of said world is sent to earth to be raised as a normal human.
