This is one of the better AOT lolita attempts I've seen. It's better than OP's pic, anyway, and it at least tried to combine the belts etec in a non-retarded way. It's far from good, but I'd rather see this at a con than the usual fare- which is OP pic tier, if not worse.

I don't know, I really love the idea of SNK having this weird old fashioned society where the girls can join the army but their uniform still has to have a blouse/corset/skirt or else they'd be considered indecent. Obviously more practical than ordinary women's clothing (shorter skirt for easier movement, less ruffles and hardier fabric, possibly a looser corset, flat boots rather than heels) but still pretty conservative.

Part of what AoT so popular is everyone has the same uniform and is treated equally as soldiers. Not a tumblerite at all but that's pretty backward thinking from an anime standpoint. Also this society has very limited resources and can't afford extra fabric just to make girls prettier. In the AoT threads we had long arguments over whether the jackets were leather or cotton.

But it's established that they're extremely low on livestock and meat is a huge luxury. Obviously, they aren't wasting it on the jackets of soldiers they know are going to be eaten in mass quantities. That doesn't make sense.

Think about how hard it is for humans to fight the titans already. Now consider that females already have a physical disadvantage to males. Now you're suggesting corsets? You're essentially saying you want to make the women have a significantly higher chance of dying than the men because it looks nicer. Obviously, that's not actually what you think, but that is what will happen if you make them wear corsets.

They're unlikely to have the resources to grow, pick, and process cotton, either. wool is a much likelier fiber for a struggling pre-industrial society. Cotton was expensive before technological innovations (and widespread slave labor) and most clothing was made of wool or linen. The wealthiest had silks.

It makes sense for the harness to be made out of leather, because it's basically the only material that could be used, so maybe that's why people thought the jackets would be leather too?

Actually, women are naturally better at using the 3DMG than men due to how their weight distributes and how their bodies are shaped. So I guess you could say that girls technically have a bit of an advantage when fighting Titans due to their natural better control over the equipment they use.
