Yep, I would say that every digital artist here is most likely using a graphics tablet. I think it would be easier to practice the fundamentals with pencil and paper, but it's still worth picking up a tablet if you're interested in drawing digitally because mouse drawing sucks. I hope you can contribute one day too!

To be honest, I would recommend brushing up on your traditional drawing before investing in a tablet. I mean, a tablet is just a tool. If you don't have any basics down, you're not going to be able to use the tool as effectively. But it's up to you, of course. If you're planning on being a pure digital artist, then sure, go ahead and start out with a tablet.
