This is my coord. I'm glad I came here where everyone's being real about it and I can find actual concrit. As nice as the girls on CoF are being I needed this.

Those actually aren't bike shorts but I see why you would think so. They're faux leather shorts and I figured it'd be fitting for the ero theme but I don't think it translated well. I did get a spider-themed witch hat to pair with the spider veil and some actual spiderweb printed thigh highs today. Probably gonna trade that wig out for my usual straight black extensions. Low pigtails maybe?

Get a better corset, as that zipper is very offputting not being all the way up and you can tell it is big at the bust for you. I can also tell it is from corset story so it is cheap and shitty quality. This isnt a detail most lolitas will care about because they dont use corsets but your shape could be so much better is you had one the flattered you more. For an overbust you do want it to fit your bust and curve around it.

I think a lot of your things look cheap here and the tights worst of all. One thing I notice standing out in the few good Ero coords I've seen is that everything looks upscale and not like it all came from a costume shop. Better corset, better tights and add some bloomers that come to mid-thigh would look much better. Less eyeliner, lighter brows. A nice bag. No elastic showing at the waist. Better styled wig in a more natural color. Less flashy jewelry. Less shiny shoes.

Fanplusfriend. The back of the skirt is a bustle I made out of some spider-web print chiffon ironed onto some interfacing with lace trim. It has a nice subtle sparkle to it. I have some actual spiderweb thigh highs now and the witch hat has some spiderweb elements to it too, which is why I thought it may be fitting. I'm doing a photoshoot in this coord with a friend later this week so I'll have pictures of the updated coord.

And knowledge that beginners usually always lack to compare something to brand, most have never seen it up close or looked at the construction to know about the linings and fabrics, etc. I think you have to be experienced and have a bit of luck to pull in thrift store finds to make good coordinate pieces. And even then it's really rare for it all to be thrift and still really be lolita.

It makes me feel sad that Nicole is constantly posted here. She's such a genuinely sweet, non-annoying girl, and compared to her older coords she's made improvement. When I was in her comm she never caused trouble with anyone and was up for anything anyone else wanted to do.

It hurts to know that because of her looks, and I guess her resistance to change for beauty standards what with her hair and lack of makeup, people assume she's socially inept, a man, or a womanchild.

Afaik, she's an adult woman with a job, a car, and a long-time boyfriend (albeit a socially weird asian one). I know me being a whiteknight won't change opinions or make light of the fact that she doesn't do her hair or bother with much makeup. All I'm saying is that I think some of you can relate to really liking someone as a friend while others don't for unfair reasons that they really can't change. With photoshop this would is easy, you just merge each piece of the photo, and overlay them. Cut out any overlying pieces, and then create a soft transparent edges on each of the top layered photos.

IMO, yes. There's a line between CD/sissy fetishists and dudes actually into cross-dressing for non-fetish purposes that can be hard to distinguish, mostly due to fetishes being creepy assholes. there's also fetishes that parade around as trans in order to take advantage of people's emotions (saying their trans means people are more likely to defend them or may be more afraid to say something negative about them for fear of looking like an asshole). Hi, this is me. Thanks for the concrit, but I'm not sure what you mean about shoe-horning colors in. If you mean the gold, there is actually gold in the print, it just doesn't photograph well at all. It has gold glitter details and the hemming of the dress is navy and gold rope. It's hard to tell, by my cardigan is gold and has small metallic gold strings in the knit as well. Thanks for the visual. It was really an on the fly idea. My original coordinate idea was a white princess sleeve chiffon blouse, but it didn't work out.
