I've only seen one cosplay of her and it was poor from what I remember. I'll probably go through with making her.

Not exactly obscure, but I'd like to cosplay Mimori Togo but wouldn't want to use a wheelchair (just kind of tacky to use one when someone else at the con might need it). Although she is seen without it, I feel like it wouldn't be that recognizable without it.

I don't even like Meguca that much, she's just so wonderful. I want to make a nice gijinka, like with a long dotted dress or something like that.

I figure skate, so I'd really like to try my hand at making a functional competition-quality dress, beading and all, and do a photoshoot on the ice. It's basically impossible, since my sewing skills aren't up to the challenge and renting out an entire ice rink is beyond expensive, but I can dream, right?

Heath anon here, it's not that I'm afraid of not being recognized, I'm just not sure I have the level to do him justice right now. I just finished a character from the same game (pic related), wore the costume to a con and the few people who recognized me were thrilled as fuck, so it was all worth it. Plus now my friends have seen my WIPs on my page and are becoming interested in cosplaying from that game, so it's cool.

Jessica from Dragon Quest VIII in her Divine Bustier armor is something I want to do, but probably never will. I already cosplayed her in her default purple/yellow/red dress, and only a handful of people recognized me (though they were so thrilled to see me, it was pretty awesome). Also, I don't think I could create that kind of armor and make it look well, at least not at my current skill level. Oh well!

A LOT of the (relatively) younger crowd that nakes up the majority of ANime Cons has no knowledge of the Marvel or DC universes outside of pretty much the new Avengers movie series. If it's not Captain America, Iron Man, etc etc then they have no idea who the fuck.

Squirrel Girl would be recognizable, but at a more Comic Con/general Pop Culture con with a slightly older crowd I feel. Weeaboos are less likely to know who she is.

Arumi from episode 3 of Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. I studied abroad in Japan for a month right near Abenobashi so it seems really fitting. And I love Arumi and all the colors in this costume.

I just couldn't keep up with the drilling challenges and I never spent my money on items (thankfully). Bunny class was my favorite- I can't remember if I made it to 3rd job or not- I definitely made it to second though. I honestly love all the designs in this game and I loved the sheep a lot.

Honestly as much as I fucking hate everything about the 20th anniversary movie, I'm hoping it means there will be some good DM cosplay. Most of what I see is old and therefor low quality, especially for characters that aren't Yugi and Kaiba.
