I actually had to start lifting to fit into brand dresses. I'm really tiny and have little to no curves, so gaining some muscle mass helped out with a thicker feminine look.

I'm exactly the average size M measurements for most Japanese clothing, so I don't really want to change that. I only have problems with lolita being too big.

However, I've started tricking and gymnastics because I want to get some awesome shots of my upcoming Tekken cosplay. It usually takes me 6 months to complete a single cosplay due to having a 50-60 hour working week and fuckall cons around to wear it to, so I figure I can probably get some basic skills that will make for a decent photo as I'm already fairly active/fit and flexy, but just have no technical skills in those areas.

What is it with /fit/ invading /cgl/? This looks dumb as fuck. No one wants to be a muscle head lolita. See, I have a documentary on what happens when you do that.

Honestly why does anyone here have a shitfit if someone says 'tone' unless they are talking about 'spot toning' or some mythical result? When you lift weights you do tone your muscles and become more compact and less flabby. Muscle tone is a measurable thing.

Workaholics aside some jobs are more exhausting physically and mentally than others. Stuff like retail can be very hard if the customers are assholes or it can be relatively easy just requiring you to be there for the time. Other jobs require heavy thinking or creativity and you can't keep that up 75 hours a week.

I work in a hospital. Officially my roster says 8-4pm, with rostered long shift until 10pm usually once per week or no long shifts either side if you do the weekend. Unofficially, I leave at 6pm some days depending on how busy it is, and my long shifts can go until 11pm, so a 'good' week is generally never less than 50 hours.

>> No.8474092

I have, but for the sake of losing weight/getting stronger/healthier. I've been on a plateau for a while so lifting have helped (way more than cardio alone); I just wish I was more consistent (I work weird hours).

What sucks is that my arms look good, but my lolita blouse and cutsew sleeves are tight .

I still can't believe there was actually a subculture based around shoplifting. I mean, it makes more sense than most other ones out there, but it's just such a weird concept...maybe it's because I don't know anyone who does it once they leave high school?

Been going to the gym once a week and running twice for a few years, but thinking of stepping it up so I can enter the hilarious realm of massive-guy-as-dainty-girl cosplays. My beard game has always been weak, so I'd have to rely solely on my body, hair, and dead hopeless eyes.

Love working legs, used to ride horses, and still cycle most days; so I've got my lower half more or less how I'd want it. It's just that I need to push my chest and arms from "yeah, he works out" to "jesus christ, stop working out".

Thinking I'd do pic related with her backpack and a tiny shirt showing some swole midriff. Would look like generic anime highschooler to most, but between the colours, scarf emblem, and bag has enough for GuP fans to recognise her.

The images on the right are not cute, either. I want a flat tummy, not sculpted. Those arms are still too large to comfortably fit into lolita tops. I don't disagree about lifting to lose weight, but bad choice of images.

My arms are sculpted I can fit into IW and meta blouses fine. If you want a flat tummy you can lift lighter weights for high reps and look like less than the right. lifting is a great way to tone your body and lose weight in general, but i'll leave you to your shitty opinions.

are you sure those arms are too large to fit into lolita tops? i bench 52kg (45kg for reps), and i STILL don't look like that. i weigh 47kg, and you can barely tell that i lift weights if you look at my upper body.

>> No.8489834

FYI to people that aren't too familiar with the results of lifting. Lifting usually makes you smaller (unless you're packing on the protein like a beast).

At first, if you're kinda chubby already, your muscle mass will build along with you losing body fat, so you might look chunkier at first because your muscle mass is being built under your fat, but after a while it'll all compress and keep you small.

I like lifting a whole lot better than anything else since it's fast and you don't sweat as much.
