So cocktail parties are already becoming a thing among meetups with older lolitas. This makes me think: tea pot meetup. Whether or not you think it's realistic depending on where you live and how close you are to your fellow lolitas, thinking about it could be a fun game.

1. How many friends would you invite over?

2. What kinds of activities would you prepare?

3. Movies/shows to watch together?

4. Food/drink to prepare in advance?

5. How would this experience get ruined?

My own answers:

1. How many friends would you invite over?
Three max. Any more and it could become too troublesome.

2. What kinds of activities would you prepare?
Sampling of baked goods and tea. I guess also sketching/artwork that doesn't damage our frills. If we become terrible, we'd probably bitch about the resident ita for being unable to read social cues. (Ironic, as she's the only open pothead in our local comm.)

3. Movies/shows to watch together?
Kamikaze Girls. I've read from a previous cgl pot thread that the Sailor Moon Musical (Seramyu) performed by Takarazuka is awesome to watch while high, too.

4. Food/drink to prepare in advance?
Lavender shortbread. A few of my comm members are great at making their own macarons. Rose tea and earl grey tea, in separate pots of course.

5. How would this experience get ruined?
If it turned out that one person at the meetup actually was new to it and freaked out from paranoia. If word got out and the resident ita found out. There are so many things that could go wrong with this, at least in my mind.

That's what I was thinking after reading OP's post. From the title, I almost assumed that OP was talking about having tea and edibles, which might actually work.

Or maybe just keep the 2 separate..

Ok, I had to re-read OP's post to be sure I read that right. I'd treat it as a normal tea party except for making sure that the people are 18+. I'm pretty fortunate to not have to worry about itas since the least experienced members don't even attend meets. Even though the location is held at a private location, I'd still want to abide by state laws, and I don't want to deal with dumb teenagers over-thinking that smoking/consuming pot was cool and edgy (they'll have plenty of that once they decide to go to college), and I'd much rather be with people who are closest to me.

I feel like it'd be a total chore to try to make edibles, especially since I don't really put my money into it (I like marijuana, but I'd rather spend money on brand), thus lacking experience on playing with recipes. I heard that there are businesses that make cute edibles though. Look up Madame Munchie. Her macarons look adorable. If my old friend was still in lolita, I would have suggested her to try to make butter weed tea, but other than that, I'd rather bring in actual food and invite others to being in their own weed to share.

Another older lolita meet up idea I've been toying with is a "bitch and wine" (wine tasting) or "bitch and stitch" (crafting and sewing).

If you don't already smoke with your Lolita buds out of Lolita, smoking with them in Lolita is probably gonna be awkward. same if you're doing edibles. This just sounds like a bad idea. It's not really a "party" if its just you and two or three friends getting baked at your house. That is just hanging out.

1. between 3 - 4

2. coloring books, board games, multiplayer nintendo

3. totally depends on how we're feeling, probably we'd do "find weird youtube videos while high" on the tv?

4. Honestly if we're getting stoned I'd just have a cake baked ready to cut and some easy finger foods.

5. It wouldn't if the girls were cool.

No thank you.

Misake would definitely say that in all seriousness and not jokingly, as pot is regarded by Japanese people as dangerous as heroin.

For the rest of us who live in countries or states where it's legal, though...

This sounds like so much fun. Too bad you're probably not in my community.

1. How many friends would you invite over?
I'd invite my inner circle of lolita friends, so like 5-7 girls.

2. What kinds of activities would you prepare?
I'd set a bunch of pillows and blankets on the ground in a circle. We would probably play something like Cards Against Humanity, then Mario Party and Animal Crossing.

3. Movies/shows to watch together?
Kamikaze Girls since I haven't seen it yet, Studio Ghibli stuff.

4. Food/drink to prepare in advance?
I'd have a "potluck" so I'm not buying all the shit. A lot of girls in my comm know how to bake, so we could make pot brownies or macarons. I would probably make cannabis-free pizza and just smoke as we eat.

As for drinks, teas and soda.

5. How would this experience get ruined?
If some girl who didn't get invited made a big deal about it/started drama.

sera myu isn't performed by takarazuka. some 'siennes have been in some of the musicals, but takarazuka as a company is not involved in the myu.
