How is the wig stuff unclear? Multiple people who were at the fashion show dealt with the drama of the wigs, and she took a loss on it all. She made stuff that was not needed because he made it out to be that it had to be done a few days before the con, no one knew what was used so she could not officially sell anything and sold the wigs as a discount because of it. Her company is her job, she has the right to be angry about how her products are dealt with.

He also is banking on the fact that she did not post her whole situation with the Germany tea party yet to create that distrust in her over why she quit. He is right, she is not used to being in charge of a big event like that, but that means that there should have been more staff and someone who was actually in Germany who was dealing with this stuff instead of him half ass giving orders to her when he felt it was needed. If it was properly organized then John being late would not have affected the start time as the german girls would have been able to do things while waiting. However he never told them anything.

I think he always liked the idea of having wig sponsors for the fashion show as he always at least tried to have one for all the years I've gone to AM. As a result, after all the shit with GLW happened, he asked who else the lolitas would like to see as a wig sponsor and almost everyone mentioned Lockshop.

As a result, I would not be surprised at all if John never once told the Japanese designers that wigs would be provided and just had it in his head that wigs would be from Lockshop, each model would have one, and he may even have had his own ideas of what it should all look like (such as the colored extensions).
So if I had to take a guess, it probably was John's poor planning when it came to the wigs this year.

I can tell you never had a brand come to a con near you. They are not fickle, they tend to be the opposite and want certain things that should been put into a contract months before the con. There should not be anything that is last minute, the girls are picked for modeling with everything in mind, including hair and if they will use natural or wigs. This is all planned ahead of time, as they have to bring the whole outfit to the con, know how to style it, etc. They would never leave it to last minute especially when it is something like wigs for 50 people. Since they did not even know that wigs were involved, there is no way that the designers were 'fickle'. He made it all up.

Why is it her fault that he did not make sure that people who were experienced were in positions of authority? John is the one who invested in it, and he was the one who made sure that the final say was his own. It is not her fault that he was unwilling to communicate to his staff there. There is a lot we do not know of this situation since it has not been directly talked about yet, but she cannot be responsible for his inability to work with people. He has shown a track record of not making sure experienced staff are there (such as translator at AM) and not keeping them informed of the event at all besides day of instructions (such as all of AM 2015). You do not need to think Choke is innocent here. His method of planning is something that has been shown through other events that make her scenario likely.

I honestly don't think John was trying to trick Choke, I think he just had an idea in his head of what should happen with the wigs and never properly communicated to anyone aside from saying that Lockshop would be at AM. Here's a breakdown of the timeline provided, I found the docket and looked at the full rundown.

1/13/2012 - Baker Nissan sues John Leigh and Deneice Phan as individuals, and doing business as (d/b/a) Emotiongear Entertainment.

2/6/2012 - John/Deneice answer the original petition, think of this as an answer to whatever claims are being made against you. Typically these are basically just DENY DENY DENY.

4/23/2012 - John/Deneice filed a counterclaim against Baker Nissan on the same subject matter.

4/26/2012 - Designated Trial Ready means either that the judge has set the case for bench trial, or both parties have agreed to a Trial Setting, which is another court date on which they will finally decide the trial date.

5/1/2012 - Baker Nissan answered the counter-claim, probably deny deny deny again.

5/4/2012 - Deneice files her answer on the original petition.

The thing is, I don't care about the wigs at this point. Those are done, I made them and they were my choice.

However I didn't want to make the hair extensions, mainly because John failed to give me extra info on them. If the designers really requested them, then they would have told him the colors they wanted. However even after asking, John never provided me with the color selection and instead I had to decide on that myself. I wasted time to have those produced, I spent a day alone on making a custom color mix.

On the day of the show John confirmed my suspicions that it was all bullshit, and that's why I got angry. I got angry because he lied about it. Yes he blew it off and said he would pay for them. If you have the choice between an AP designer telling you they didn't know anything about it or John talking around it, making you look like a fool, who would you believe?

Why would he do it? Maybe he hoped they found it an awesome idea and he could tell them that it was his idea all alone? Because he does like to take credit for hard work of other people.

I can understand some dirty jokes. I am sometimes flirty with some of my friends, but it comes from a mutual consent and the "joking" is feeded from both sides.
I have never:
a) reciprocated his sexual jokes or led them on. I have even expressed that I was uncomfortable with them by saying "that's gross", yet he still insisted in making more.
b) considered him a "friend". To be honest, I've never seen John in my entire life, he's just somebody I talk yo via facebook.

Thought I would share Kate's little rant about Ann, honestly she is just sharing more hearsay without proof. And John may have decided long before anyone else, but Ann clearly didn't know about it considering her reaction at the KA panel, and their wedding was genuinely cute, and planned out before the summit was announced I'm pretty sure. I do not believe that anyone will succeed on a sexual harassment claim unless someone comes forth with something more substantial. However, that conduct can support findings of bad faith in his business dealings and is damning regardless.

As much as I hate to say it, focusing on the harassment is only relevant in making him a social pariah. If you want something done you have to focus on the business and taxation side of the argument.

Back in highschool I got bullied online by kids in my class who sent pretty nasty threats to me, and when my parents reported it to the police, and the response we got was "You want to stop cyberbullying? Just turn your computer off and go outside".
Without any evidence of offline bullying besides my recounting of it, nothing was ever done about it.

I agree, people keep saying to bring him to court over this but women have a hard enough time bringing down sexual criminals (rapists, assaulters, flashers, harassers, whatever) with more tangible evidence, we definitely wouldn't bring him down in a texas court with screenshots on facebook even if it's clear that they're real because he posted the same ones on his blog. Getting him on business charges unfortunately just has more steam in court since he's already gotten in trouble for this shit, but I guess I'm glad to hear the sexual harassment could help in that sort of case in showing how much of a irresponsible dick he is.
