It began with beautiful idealism, but the fact that it may as well be a tool to exploit, used to gain personal goals or be commercialised is inevitable. It relies on individual KAs to manage on their own. As a public figure, KA represents each community, and has a lot of potentials to help make lolita a better name to the outside world. However, I strongly believe the 'inside' world should always come first, and above all else. Just like today's politics, you don't go meddling with other countries' business when your actions and judgement were questioned by your own people.
My top priority is my community. As long as I am efficient, my peers will have me with or without that weird-sounding title. You see, it doesn't matter to us.
Meanwhile, some of the European and American lolitas (who have brought forward the issues at this point) are either my friends or acquaintances. I have met some of them in real life and probably know more about them than about my own neighbours. Therefore, their opinions in regard to the well-being of their communities do matter. The 'inside' world matters.

I get what you're saying. I really do. But there are caps out there and the way John and Deneice are acting behind the scenes suggests that they see this as a potential blow to their reps. As several people have said, this kind of person operates in a distinct way that often isolates individuals and uses social pressures to keep them from speaking out. A lot of these girls might feel uncomfortable speaking out about this stuff after they've already allowed a few jokes to slip by, especially in a community that readily accuses people of throwing a fit for attention. Buttcape's business with him has clearly been going on for a long while, and she hasn't been part of any recent events to be screwed over. I just tend to assume they're trying to seem more tough and not be labeled a dramallama. There's still a pretty big stigma against getting upset when someone makes inappropriate comments to you that can be interpreted as "just a joke".

I got a quick John story for you all. Back in 2013, I was living in South Korea. While there, I had a chance to interview Korean dance group Waveya. I gave them their first ever English interview and I was very happy to work with them. I foolishly told John about it and he asked me to put an ad for the site in my video. He said he was going to give me some great publicity, put it on the site, and all that jazz.

Come a few weeks into the event, nothing comes up. Nothing on the site and nothing from him. When I came back home the next year, I snuck into AM (security be damned) and confronted him about it. With a straight face, mofo lied and said he did everything I asked him. While it sucks that happened, I learned a lot in regards to doing business with people in general.

I heard a rumor that John is in the states illegally. Anyone know of anything about that?

Deneice once came to a meetup in Austin (I think she was invited by Ann) and the whole time, she was plugging in her convention and she was approaching people to ask them to apply to model. I don't think I would've minded, but she only asked specific people to model instead of inviting the whole group. It was a slap in the face to everyone in our community that had already applied.
