I would love it. You would however need to have an exact policy on what is brand and what isn't, beucase there are a lot of indie brands that can be interpreted as being in a grey zone (Haenuli, Triple Fortune, Antique Beast, I Do Declare etc)

I definitely would use it, but I second what one of the previous commenters said about establishing what counts. I personally would like a group like that more if it was less brand vs off brand and more about quality. So, brands like haenuli, triple fortune, or Leif would be nice to include.

Ah, awesome! I'll go ahead and start making the page now.

On the topic of indie brands, the standard would basically be established indie brands, so yeah, Peppermint Fox, Haenuli, Baroque, but not some randomer's Etsy shop or whatever, they have to be a fairly solidly well known indie brand. I would be including some whitelisted non lolita specific brands like Qpot (Maybe biased, as they're my favourite...), Triple Fortune, and Kokokim.

The only thing I'm a bit uncertain on is how to classify Taobao. I would not classify all Taobao as brand, but by that same token, I know some people consider Taobao stores indie brands. Like, I'd call maybe Krad Lanrete an indie brand but not some random taobao store.

I think the quality of the fabric is alright but their sizing is fucking stupid. I bought a lady 80? Or an 85? Because it fit my bust measurements and when I get the shirt it's two sizes too big for me. I looked like a hunchback since the collar just floated off my neck by 4 inches. I went back to the website, got a size down so it would be a little bit snug and what I thought would fit better since it seemed their sizes ran big. I get the new shirt, it's so small I can't even get it over my head, it's like I was putting on a 7-year-old's shirt. I've heard stories of even custom sizing being messed up, where they mixed up bust/hip measurements.

I have pretty normal proportions (92 cm bust, 75 cm waist), and even though the torso fit, the sleeves were like three times as big as my arms (they were supposed to be fairly fitted, not princes sleeves). >> No.8410593

>>8410461

In the same colourway and either local or willing to ship it across the country/the world just to have a different bow? You're definitely gambling.

I'd suggest you post on your local comm and see if anybody else is interested in Twinkle Journey. Ideally you should be able to find someone who lives close by and wants the OP and prefers the flatter bow. If nothing else, you can make small group orders (like 2-3 LPs) to save on shipping since Meta allows you to order multiple LPs at once. I don't suggest making a large group order because I'm not sure if Meta items will fall out of the shopping cart while you're checking out.

Alternatively, you can try posting on other places (BST thread, LSE, comm sales) looking for a trade partner, specify your location or preferred partner's location (eg- US-only or "x state only") and arrange something that way.

If you really find anyone to trade with, you may want to consider either buying two sets and selling off the surplus, or looking ways or for someone to help you modify the flatter bow into the standing bow (it doesn't actually look very hard, and is easier than modifying the bow from standing to folded. But I'm not sure of your skill level, and i think the modified bow will be smaller than the one that comes with the OP)

It comes up in the US some time Thursday afternoon, I've seen times range from 5PM PST, to 11PM PST.

You will have to submit the order form they have so you can have it open and filled out with your other information.

That being said since they still use the order form there's no guarantee you'll get it so your best chance is to submit that order form as soon as you can after the dress comes up.

Good luck!

It is the OTT version, and there is no way around to wear it casually, too much frill, and pattern.

I also have noticed that the bust area fits a bit loose, bt it might not be a big deal.

There is a jsk, version and skirt, but nobody sells it and if they do is overpriced (e.g. skirt is sold for the Price that the main OTT piece had at retail).

I will wear it to some meet, maybe wait one week or two. However, I'm worried its value will drop due to time and newer releases.

Pink is also my favorite, but the other colorways are very pretty too. I just like how much more subtle it is.

I'm also guessing they're not going to make it a MTO thing, since all the other MTOs were announced within a week of release right?
And with the number of people making sock puppet accounts to mail them (which I'm sure they'd know about) they probably can't actually forecast how many they'd sell

>>8414769
I'm not impressed with the execution of the print, it looks a bit messy on the sheer material and doesn't show up. Not sure about its popularity, but people have been discussing it on Lolita Updates a lot more than here (if I'm not mistaken, there was discussion of it in the last general thread)

I bought some accessories from the release (already have a main piece). It was really slow and not at all bloodbath. Most things were still in stock by 13 minutes. Interestingly, the OP sold out in Pink and Lav first, the SK in Navy, and the JSK in Pink and Lav first as well.

The plain headbow sold out faster than any of the main pieces, I guess cause it's so versatile. I bought it to match other pieces as well.

I think AP gravely misjudged how popular Milky Cross is. They have a problem of prioritizing the Japanese market's demand before the Chinese or international market. They don't realize most of the buying power comes from overseas. It won't go to sale, but it's not hype.

I live in Sweden and have a special membership. You need to get up to the 200,000 yen a year quote and have an address in Japan they can send stuff to. The tricky part is that you also need to make the money transfer from a Japanese bank account OR take Cash upon delivery, this most SS wont do.

I send my stuff to friend that lives in japan in her name and IW is ok with that. She then pay COD when they send it out.

honestly, i think because she might think lolita is an ageplay sort of fashion, and because she'd like me to wear more feminine things or be more "age-appropriate"--basically just wear regular clothing. which is weird, because she compliments me regularly for what i wear (dresses, mostly high-waisted vintage ones with sleeves. a few dresses without sleeves, but complimented with a cardigan, since i'm very conservative about showing my arms. if it gets too hot, since i live in the caribbean, i just wear shorts), unless she's feeling particularly nitpicky, she thinks i've worn something too many times or it's too "over-the-top".

i also think she says these kinds of things because she's very appearance-conscious, and knows that i've been bullied for my looks. she's always maintained that everyone has to try hard to look good, which i don't disagree with, but i hate how she executes her philosophy because she takes it very personally if i'm viewed as a failure/weird/etc. it's pretty gross.

I think as long as it is priced accordingly to the amount of damage and each area of damage is documented and explained to the buyer, I see no problem with wanting to buy or sell damaged pieces. I do of course expect damaged pieces to again, be priced accordingly, since you will probably be putting time and money into it to fix it, however much it may cost. Obviously I don't want to pay $200 for a dress that's heavily damaged that I will have to half that buying price or more than that to fix.

As for what is a "fair" price drop it just depends on what exactly is the damage, how heavy/extensive it is, and how much it will probably cost to fix it. I.e. if it would cost $20, subtract that from the price.

-$20 assuming it's in otherwise good condition
>pit stains/large noticeable stain or fading
It would have to be super cheap, that's just gross
>seam rip/broken zipper
-$40 to cover the cost and travel to fix it
>non seam rip
Again would probably have to be super cheap like around $50 or less. Non-seam rips are very difficult to do something with unless it's in the bodice, and even then I wouldn't want to pay jsk prices for something I have to turn into a skirt and will be basically worthless after

Interesting break down. I'm about to sell a dress that's in perfect condition EXCEPT for one of the waist tie buttons popped off. I still have it, the waist ties, and the spare button is still sewn in. I'm just a shit seamstress (and thereby a shit lolita tbh) and I'm afraid to ruin the dress by sewing the button back on. So I was just going to reduce the price and sell it as "damaged" since the buyer is gonna either have to sew the button back on or pay to have a tailor do it.

Ughhhhh I'm not sure whether this is the right thread for this or not but I was hoping you guys could give me some advice.

I've been selling some shit. A little while ago I got a message from a girl asking to buy a bag I was selling. I was like yeah sure, here are your shipping costs. She seemed happy with that, asked if I could list the item on Lacemarket to make her life easier. I did so, choosing one of the short three day listings with a buy it now for her and linking her. She saw the message, said she'd pay when she was next at her PC and I waited. And waited. And two days later, I messaged her being like "yo I've not received payment?" in politer words obviously, and she was like "oh I was busy I'll pay tomorrow." It's now been three days, not a peep out of her, I've messaged her saying the listing has expired, is she backing out of the sale, does she still want the bag, what am I to do and she's seeing the messages but just not answering me. Anybody got any advice? I can't even leave neg/neutral feedback because she contacted me through Facebook, I don't know her username on LM or anything.

>> No.8416040

>>8416029
Tell her if she doesn't send you payment within 48-72 hours you will be opening the sale back up to someone else since she hasn't been responsive and keeps giving you the runaround. It takes about 1 or 2 minutes to log onto paypal and pay an invoice/send money. If she has the time to read your message and type "I was busy, I'll do it later" she has the 2 minutes to go on paypal. You could also ask if she just needs a hold or something if she's waiting for a paycheck - but if she does ask for a hold, demand a deposit first. To me it sounds like she's either having second thoughts or waiting for money, either way she should be able to just be up front about it with you instead of giving you excuses and not responding. IMO I would just say if I don't get money in x hours I'm selling it to someone else, wouldn't even do a hold if she asked since that behavior makes me not want to trust her to actually have the money at the end of the holding period.

>> No.8416042

>>8416029
Just forget about her, she sounds like a flake and probably doesn't have the money.

If she messages you later just send it to the trash. Maybe someone else will buy the bag, make an unreserved listing and if she complains when it's sold just tell her simply that she never got back to you and you figured she didn't want it anymore. Boom. Done.

I have been looking at a dress, which is half price of the original, however it has big yellow stains ALL OVER the neck (white). Visible from inside and outside, nothing that I have ever seen in a good will shop.
The only way to fix it may be using heavy loads of Oxyclean and achieve a faint yellow neck, or cutting away the whole neck and sew in a new one or shoulder straps. That was my plan, but it really feels wrong to pay around 150$ for a dress that if it was not burando, I would just throw to the trash.
