The lack of good ouji makes it hard, the lack of ouji in general even moreso, and people very rarely selfpost. The dolls aren't wearing clothing that exists for people which is.. depressing in some cases, but I certainly wish some of it did. We could probably use less doll pictures but some of them are relevant.

Maybe Bodyline, they have in the Lolita and in the Punk section some pants and vests, etc suitable for Ouji/EGA and they don't look as bad as F+F's.
Most of them come in larger sizes like 2L but they were intended for women though.
You might also be able to find decent EGA stuff on Taobao and the shops usually make things to size.

mine arrived today. very comfy while the jacquard print looks fancy enough for formal events. room enough for junk to sit comfortably. compared to BPN for Men or MmM, these seem likely to easily fit a Western-sized person with a 30-32" waist and a bit of love handles. (my Moitie pants fit but tight enough to inspire me to lose some weight.) not sure how much larger the high waist can go while still being comfortable. however, my waist when i tried them on was about 82cm, or 32", so with shapewear they might fit up to 34" all right.

there is almost 12" between the hip area (not the high waist) and the crotch seam, which is 2-3" more than my Moitie pants.

comfiest brand bottoms i've found so far. hopefully their other items are as consistent in sizing and roominess; without the high waist, these could conceivably fit a broader (kek) range of sizes.

I've started wearing EGA and I was wondering if there are any specific items that are good for basics or if any seagulls could guide me on what to get for my wardrobe next? I also wear gothic lolita so I have a few black blouses short sleeved and long in chiffon and cotton. So far I have two short jackets- one velvet, one with an interesting collar and a roland. I have one ankle length skirt with asymetrical details in a thick chiffon. I have various gothic hair accesories and a hat. I have boots- one pair pointed toe the other round, platform mary janes. Detailed lace chokers and one plain bag. Everything mentioned is black and mainly from AtPi, AtBoz, Moitie, AATP or BPN.

another thing to look for is a good jabot, probably in black to match what you already have. a plain one can be dressed up with brooches, corsages, chain, etc., so it's a really versatile accessory for EGA which is often lighter in jewelry/flair than gothic lolita.

Can we talk socks, /ogl/?

Is there a cheap, bodyline-esque alternative to some of the AATP diamond socks? I'm constantly wearing holes in my socks and can't justify the price of AATP for something that's going to end up in the bin. I feel socks are unimportant enough to be able to take the cheap road without feeling guilty. I currently order black and white striped socks in bulk because I go through them pretty quickly.

I actually am with you in this, anon. I can see the point of people saying socks are important because they are important in an outfit but I personally destroy any socks and tights super quickly and absolutely can't afford 40$ socks. All my socks end up with the front all covered in wholes, no matter how short I cut my nails and how well filed down they are. It just happens and I have no clue why. I'm also very prone to getting threads pulled on socks and tights so, expensive legwear would end up being a huge waste of money.

So much what in here. If I spent $100 or more for a full fancy outfit, I wouldn't wear it around the house. I hope it's okay to post a little review here, I know some of us were talking about these pants in the last thread.

So I ordered Fan+Friend's "Machine Birdcage Steampunk Lolita Puffy Breeches" and the matching vest. This was my first time ordering from them, and quality wise you obviously get what you pay for. They are made of a sturdy bottom weight material, and I feel like they will hold up well to washing and wearing. Well suited for casual looks due obviously to styling as well as the material. I definitely feel like they were worth the money I paid, and I'm probably going to go ahead and order the ivory set. I saw the brown colorway in person over the weekend and it is definitely not the nice chocolate brown is looks like on my computer screen, so you might want to keep that in mind if you were considering them. I guess I would kind of call it like a dark sepia color?

Sizing is accurate for the waist on both pieces, but the bust size on the vest is WAY off. The size I ordered claims it will fit a 102 cm bust, which is a blatant lie. I couldn't find my measuring tape to get an accurate measurement on my bust, but Lolibrary lists the AatP blouse I'm wearing as being 94 cm in the bust. So be aware of that. I've never ordered from them before, so I'm pretty disgusted with this oversight, but at least it fits.

How do you guys feel about colored contacts with ouji? I don't like my eyes, they are tiny and boring and love how colored contacts look. I use lenses with more "natural" colors (blue, green, hazel) out in daily life, are they frowned upon in ouji? Yeah, I noticed that on other coords posted, they do seem like curtain ties (and huge ass curtain tassels being used too). I was mainly using it as an example of something "usual", it's easy to see ouji coords getting repetitive, specially when it's more casual/simple. I don't really have a specific budget for it, just considering my options for now. I'm really new to the fashion so atm I'm starting to stock on basic pieces and on the research phase for more specific items, hats included.
