Wasn't that day in december ?

I missed the rsvp period for my comm's ild meet, so now I'm just staying home alone. It kills me because I just bought a new dress that I wanted to wear.
I'm so sad. All of my lolita friends are busy today too.

I JUST finished my boyfriends coord. It's pretty lack luster but he's mostly meant to be a human accesory and he compliments my outfit really well so I think it's fine. Green velvet shorts to match my green velvet dress (hi mab!) and a white shirt with gold lace and a matching jabot. The theme is royalty. Someone is please tell me I'm not going to look like an asshat in my fairy queen outfit. It ended up looking a little ten faire ish. :/ shoulda seen that coming.

I don't really have good luck with summer ILDs. Last year I I was set to go, but then had to leave the country to attend a funeral. Needless to say, it sucked a lot. Right now, I'm cuddling with my two week old daughter. My comm is having a picnic meet and the weather is gorgeous, but she's just too little for me to impose on everyone with. I wonder what sort of crazy life event I'll be dealing with next year?

I could technically dress up and go for a walk, but it going to take a lot of energy so I think I'll save it for some other time. Maybe I'll watch Kamikaze Girls with my hubby as a substitute.

I attended my first meet! Me and my bf drove a few towns over for it. It was pretty fun. Only a few girls showed up but I enjoyed myself. We met up at a cafe and then looked at art galleries. There was this one super tumblr tier girl who came with one of the girls who wasnt even in lolita and was kinda annoying. She was shouting at people for taking pictures of us. Like, chill. Were dressed weird and are walking around a big tourist area its to be expected.

Went to watch Kamikaze Girls. Someone was snoring loudly the whole time, someone turnd up in leggings and flip flops, someone covered in fake barbed wire and neon pinks socks and someone trying to do old school with crumpled Milanoo-tier shit

I'm torn, because I went to the last 5 ILD meets on top of regular meets. Other than the first two times, I always left feeling completely underwhelmed and as though it was kind of a waste for me to go. (Have to drive about 2 hours, one way to get there.)

I don't know if I am depressed or what, but I leave feeling like I just had meaningless conversations with people who I only keep up with on social media and don't even know very well, spending money at restaurants I don't really like when I should be saving, and tbh kind of like a loser walking around in a giant group of frills and attacking all kinds of mixed attention. Then I just feel empty and lame when I get home.

But after skipping the last two ILDs and few meets, now I just feel like a total loser. IDK what is wrong with me, I just feel hollow while I am there and then hollow AND guilty for wasting time/money when I get home.

/k/ became obsessed with slavic firearms due to the fact that they were cheap. many many years ago you could get an SKS rifle for $100-200. Back then, it was the poorfag's guns, and many of the people on /k/ were poorfags.
So "grab SKS go innawoods" became a thing and /k/ids would pretend to be slavs doing slavshit.
Well, eventually the SKS went up in price, (up to $300) and then the mosin nagant, another cheap slav gun from the world war eras, became the new cheap gun poorfags liked to buy as they were only $70. This spawned a whole new flood of /k/ids and day/k/are trying to be slavic.
