Well, I usually work as a photographer at cons at my country (I am poor eurofag, no big cons here) and it is the photographer's duty to take photos of most people as possible. At least here we do that. Wouldn't you be sad if you didn't find yourself on the cons pictures? I'm not saying that picture was taken by any "official" con photographer, but still. I hope you get the idea. Sometimes I also feel reluctant about photographing certain people so I at least try to make them pose nicely etc.

Duck Tape holds a scholarship contest every year for best duct tape prom couple but the winners usually come up with something really sharp looking and unique. I don't see much of a reason for it in cosplay. I used to love hte idea...when I was in high school. Now I know that duct tape can be even more expensive that regular fabric and usually looks terribad without very careful construction.

Yeah its required for everything except underwear to be duct tape. They sell sheets of duct tape on wax paper like stickers now and it's super easy to cut out shapes and stick them on. Back in the day you could kind of the same thing by sticking tape to wax paper first.

Sort of on topic, so hear me out. Is it just me or are cosplayers getting better? I used to be able to visit random FB page and most of what I saw was attention whore shit. There's still a ton of "me first" and cosplayers who sacrifice accuracy for quantity of costumes, but now when I look at pages I am actually starting to feel like they are actually decent. Not amazing, but also far from hot gluing stuff together. Am I the only person who feels this is happening?
