Question: Do most League cosplayers actually play this game? I tried to get into it a few years ago, but it was laggy as hell and I didn't really feel any sense of community, which I find important for online games. Maybe things have changed since then, but I find it hard to believe that all these people who I've seen/followed cosplaying it who don't seem like hardcore gamers could get into it. The designs are very nice, though. I saw a Nidalee at Katsu this year and I got a little bit excited inside despite never being huge into LoL.

From what it seems like, no most cosplayers don't play/are super casual to the point where they don't know meta or watch streams. The art is nice, and I could give less of a fuck if you play it or not. Dress up, have fun. I loved S1 and S2 because you didn't know wtf you were doing, and the meta was only just starting to solidify (hated S3 because they took away all my ward control, and I'm still butt ruffled about that). I've been playing for a while (platinum last season) but only got serious with cosplays at all now. I don't think my cosplays sucks because I put a lot of effort and always try to take help where I can, but I know they aren't something majestic either. Same goes for my gameplay. I used to be a top laner but started playing support sometimes and it suddenly transformed into my confort zone, because even if each support champion has a totally different mechanic from each other, adcs (i'm trying to go either for adc or back to top right now, still unsure) for example have the same mechanic of farm/kite. Even if the skills are differents, they purpose are the same. While you can't compare a Leona, who will tank, to a Jann, who will give you peel.

Yes it's a progress shot, but all she's gonna add other than the chest piece is his sash. Without the weapon, I probably wouldn't recognize her as Renekton, especially without any crocodilian features. No tail, I don't think she's even going to try any special makeup either to look vaguely like a crocodile. She's wearing a long green wig with it and long black nails, but that's it. Adding a long wig for a genderbent cosplay of an animal/nonhuman doesn't make it genderbent. At that point it's a gijinka, but even with gijinkas you can tell what animal they originally were (i.e. Rabbit ears, bat wings, otter tail).

The costume itself is complete, but I would have done some things differently construction wise in regards to the helmet and skirt, given more time.

Here's a photo that shows the base! I really wish I had some that showed the side profile of it (I only found a video of it). And I plan to redo the helmet, it was a rushed job and definitely needs sanding, as well as a better paintjob. But for one days work the day before the con, I am happy with it!
