I missed out on going once again this year, it's been about 4 years since I could attend. I keep trying to gather all my mates to go but life always gets in the way- two of us lost work and the other two of us just got promotions in the same month, so we were either strapped for cash or working,

Hope everyone who attended had fun though.

Friday: Hour long line to dealer room, had to kind of rush through seeing everything before it closed. Bought some Cammy figure at nominoichi thing, turned out it falls apart eaisly, should have just gotten new one for $10 extra...

Saturday:
Some random girl from the bus asked to walk with me to get to con. We talked back and forth along the way, doubt will ever see her again. Went to many cosplay photoshoots, took like 400 photos which I'm now sorting through and posting online.

First time cosplaying with a group this year. Barely reacted or spoke since I didn't know a thing about my character, and luckily the straight face kept me from LOOKING awkward. I didn't plan for anything and spent most of the con coasting around, enjoying the sights and the photos.

Nightly meetups were few and disappointing, but this year was about getting my feet wet again. I'm planning on being more active next year.

Too many :( This was my first year cosplaying entirely. I was nervous about getting suited up all three days for it, but I kept getting asked for photos, gave at least three guys hugs who apparently wanted them, and had fun pretty much everywhere I went. I almost didn't want to go back home.

This year was bland. Had a good time at Nomi and it was a great experience, but the con as a whole wasn't as great as previous years. Sleep deprivation and fighting a cold certainly didn't help, but the other part was staying at the Sheraton. Previous years were at the Crowne or International, meaning less time spent walking.

If all goes well, I'll finally cosplay next year. My favorite time at AN last year was talking to everyone while getting them to spin for the video I put together last minute. Just walking around, hangin' out and seeing all the awesome costumes and props was the best. Did very little of that this year, which is somewhat unfortunate.

I had to work Friday and was all animed out on Saturday so I decided no to go today. But man was that a really good Saturday. I bought so many mangas (It was almost impossible to find the first volume to literally any series) and got to see some of my old friends who live in Toronto. Plus I got to see a bunch of midgets wrestle and got to hold a snake!

I also got to take pictures of some really awesome cosplays: a really good fem-ash from evil dead, a really well done Sae Kurosawa from fatal frame and a really cute fem-Ness from Earthbound (After I took a picture of fem-Ness her friends congratulated her for getting her cosplay noticed, which I thought was funny)

If I had to do it again I would've gotten a hotel instead of commuting all the from Hamilton, went with a group of friends instead of just by myself, plus I'd probably cosplay instead of wearing my normal street clothes.

All in all, 8/10 would do again.

This was my very first cosplay and i love this character so much. I was Yosafire from The Grey Garden and I remember getting help from this board

i didn't get to go to the meetup but I love you all and i hope to see you next year. the feels are so real.

I was determined as hell to get asami this year. Fucking waited 2 hours Saturday and still didn't make it, and had to wait 4 hours to get to her today, and I barely made it. I swear this is some next level bullshit

Trying to plan next year and I don't want to involve one of my friends. This was my first /cgl/ meet, and I attended both parties. People were pretty chill and I didn't feel excluded. I drank too much of my own citrus vodka mix and ended up throwing up in the bathroom. Mostly I was annoyed that the hotel was able to fuck up a buffet-style tea service after months of planning. There's nothing the organizers could have done about anything except maybe the location. Would recommend highly - having a place to dump your stuff and only ~15 min away (via TTC, wait times included) at the end of the day is so fucking nice. You do have to pay for the convenience though. ~150$ for 4 nights since rooming with out-of-townies. Would be half that if I had stayed with someone local.
