Im the one who said a male would make a better Jasper and I still stand by that. Especially with this photo. The way it is taken is a huge indication that it wouldn't work looking at it straight on. The jawline is not as sharp, those are not muscles, and the makeup and hair is atrocious.

Outside of CGL, there is no internet-wide campaign to block fatties from cosplaying certain characters, so idk where you're getting this claim from. You've got asshole 1 and 2 who want chubsters and POCs out of cosplay, sure, but the SJW SU fans have taken the "cosplay to your body type only" train to a new level. do some research (youtube, deviantart, etc.) involving:
>how to sew wefts into a wig
>how to style wigs/real hair
>how to lace front
>how to tease hair

Buy a couple (2-4) wigs. Use one as a base wig and remove all the wefts from the others. Sew them into the base wig and keep some wefts to the wide for ventilating a hairline. Make sure the wig will end up proportionate to your body. Get lots of constructive criticism from people who are a little TOO honest (family members, often your mom, someone that doesn't like you, etc.). Don't ask your good friends to give you criticism--they'll want to be nice and say "it looks great!" when it doesn't.

If you're not confident in your own styling abilities, TAKE IT TO A HAIRDRESSER. THERE IS NO SHAME IN THIS. You're already dressing up as a giant purple rock alien, what do you have to lose?

Pre-made lace fronts are often expensive but you can DIY everything through research and ebay for much cheaper and probably end up with a better product.

Other tips: don't drench the wig in hairspray. Got2B hairspray and a HAIR DRYER are your friends.

While I appreciate the effort in making the "Levitating fingers" I honestly think it would be better to go a more simple route. Something like black gloves that match the black of her wrist-piece, and then add the "Digits" from the knuckle up. at any distance from more than 2 feet away it will be fine to look at, as well as much more convenient not having to carry around arm props or giving up your hands for a convention.

You're trading about 5% "costume accuracy" which kind of look like glow in the dark nerf darts, for much more comfort, convenience and ability to pose that might even look better in the long run.

Still, visor is easily acceptable due to circumstances but overall looks really well done, I'd love to see her version 2.0 on the costume. Can't wait.
