They tax almost every single large package, no matter if it is a gift or what cost the shipper has marked on it. You also have to have some sort of receipt of the purchase when you're declaring through customs (Paypal receipt has worked before, I usually use one either the receipt for the shipping or the receipt of the items whichever is cheaper. It also has just one sum of money so no one's going to ask how much each item costs).

Don't get fooled when you fill the internet form to get your things declared. Just mark the sum for the first item and for the rest put zero euros. That way you don't get over taxed.

Contributan' from the Netherlands here, not all of Europe is fucked. I've done around half a dozen taobao orders, all shipped by SAL, and none got stuck in customs even though they're fairly strict. I declared about 80 dollars' worth for 6-7kg, so it's somewhat believable.
The few AIR packets I've received have also all gone through without customs.
EMS (and DHL) however, you're basically fucked.

SAL takes around 2-6 weeks for me, usually around a month.
SAL and AIR are not the same, AIR is a bit faster but I think they only ship packages up to 2kg by AIR.

When your items get stuck at customs, they send you a letter with a form (iirc, now I only order through eBay for this reason alone) and tell you to fill it out or go to their website (tulli.fi) to fill it out.

Then you go to Yksityisille > Netistä ostaminen > nettituonti > siirry Nettituonti-palveluun. Then click yksitysasiakas (or something along those lines, button on the left) and it'll ask you for your bank account information. Then you need to list all your items and the prices thereof. If you don't know where to put an item (circle lenses, wigs) or they ask you to call them for a specific item, you need to call their customer service and get a code from them directly. Then they process your stuff and ask you to pay the tax, then they send your items to you or tell you to pick them up. If you have to pick them up, you've got to go all the way to Vantaa, next to the airport, to get your package and drag it back home however you can.

It's a huge hassle, and sometimes they tell you to fill it in properly if you try the >>8331901 method. It happened to me once and some mad cunt in the Finland threads called me an idiot for not having the innate knowledge of avoiding taxes like they seem to, even though I'm a foreigner myself.

Best of luck, cheers! Hopefully you'll get away unscathed. For future reference I suggest just shopping on eBay, Zalando, Footway or EU-based websites because the p&p is usually free and the items arrive within days.

The point is that Russians who live kind of near Finland (From Petersburg or other close cities) can go to Finland without visa for a short one-day-trip. That's why the opposite should be possible too.

TBR is already getting on my nerves. As mentioned in the old thread I made a group order for despoit items, first they where too stupid to find the second links for the items (the ones where you pay the rest of the balance), then they said they would pay soon and now I got this messages after I wrote them a angry message that I needed those items soon and that most of them are already out of stock, the items are online for paying the second despoit since the first of the month.

That's seriously debatable right now. Lots of people loved TaobaoRing because of their good English and cart system (close to Yoybuy) but as you can see in this thread, apparently they're getting really slow and lax.

I just really don't want to use a SS without a cart system.. If I do that, I might as well just use the forwarding service myself.


Whether the overcharges have been a clerical error, software error or deliberate on Yoybuy's part is unknown, so there's no reason to get suspicious of them yet. Just be wary if you use a normal CC, because the bank will charge you over-draw fees.
If you're using a prepaid credit card (My Mastercard is like this.) then you can't be overcharged at all - If they try to overcharge you, the payment will just be rejected. If it was a clerical/software error, they can just keep trying until it gets it right.

I use 86daigou. It's all in Chinese but Google translate is enough to navigate through it. You can also respond to them in English but they'll respond to you in Chinese. Everything is so simple and fast that the fact that it's all in Chinese won't even matter.

I've only used taobao's forwarding since both my orders have been rather large. It's true that the first kg is expensive. I would never order just a few things unless it was like, shoes.

I see these shoes a lot everywhere and I was wondering if any has bought them from taobao? Can I get a review? How sturdy are they? Are the things on the tongues attachable and reattach able?

So I made a big purchase with yoybuy that took around a month ago but recently they blocked my card after charging my account and not seeing it. So I tried contacting them about that and I got this email.

Has anyone else gotten this before? I got the second email before I even replied to the first one, which doesn't make much sense either.

I can vouch for them. I'm the shitty 8 part order anon at the beginning of this thread. Been using them for a few years with no issues. They're quick to order. Most of the time they order the same day you send your first payment and items arrive promptly to their warehouse. They also inform you if some items take a while to make or out of stock ASAP, which is good if you are preordering. Just take note of the time difference. In my experience they respond quickly so I never had any issues with communication.

I'm really pissed off at taobaoring at the moment, over half the things I've tried to order they've told me are out of stock despite the pages still being up for days after now.

On top of that they've confirmed half my items from one seller (a shop I've bought from before and have their stuff) and the other half taobaoring have put the message 'sorry, this seller does not sell to taobao agent.'
How does that even fucking work.

Sorry I'm on mobile so bear with me. I haven't tried using "actual" worbla before so I can't make a direct comparison but it seems to work pretty well. Really malleable and for the fraction of the cost. I also got an A4 pack from the shop they give you 3 A4 sheets for the very cheap price of 10 yuan. It's great if you want to make a profit selling an A4 sheet for $20 or something.

It's also relatively sticky when heated up. I'm not sure if actual worbla is like this. It's also easy to prime with wood glue and spray primer. Not sure how it can hold up sanding yet.

Go with Aliexpress if that's the only thing you want. All SS dont have a minimum order amount but they do have a minimum fee for their services. The process also goes like this:

Send first payment to SS
First payment consists is item cost + local shipping costs + agent fee + whatever percentage Paypal takes from your account.

So basically 49 + 15 + 35(normal minimum fee for agents) = $16 based on regular conversion rates or $17-18 depending on PayPal's current exchange rate.

After the first payment you'd have to pay for the shipping fee. Depending on where you are it could go from $11.77 or higher.


Long story short. Buy on Alixpress if you only want less than 5 items

It depends on how much stuff you are planning to order. Taobao is the best if you want to buy multiple items because you can buy more and save on shipping fees. It would be smart to have at least $100 worth of orders I think.

Sounds like that 20$ was for domestic shipping. Maybe it included SS fees as well. Anyway, it shouldn't normally be that much in domestic shipping fees unless you're ordering bricks. I don't know what happened there, man.
