I have a question! I'm trying to work some lightly ero inspired things into my gothic lolita, like their corsets and skirts like this. I checked h.Naoto and recall their lace looking questionable and I have no idea how the quality of the brand is these days especially.

I really love his style. My first real lolita dress was from h. Naoto! It's a little different from the standard lolita stuff, and kinda mixes substyles a bit more, even bringing in more punk and goth influences, so it can be hard to make it work but it's doable.

Their lace is good, don't worry. I have Frill and Gramm and both have soft, good lace.

Mostly the issue you'd have is balancing the details. Moitie is known for being very clean and minimalist, while hNaoto is known for its dresses being artsy messes with extra bits and screenprint and things that don't line up straight.

This is my favorite thing from Gramm/H.naoto. I need this purse in my life. I put it over my dream dresses.

The STEAM line is supposed to be steampunk lolita.
Some of their stuff can work with CPK.

Thank you! You're right about the minimalism. I'm very cautious about a lot of their pieces for mixing with Moitie, but I think some of them have a wonderful, simple kind of gothic feel. Gramm was another one I was looking into and it looks gorgeous.

Some of their stuff has the silhouette for lolita. If you're worried about if you can wear it to a meet, it depends on the outfit. Bodyline has an incredible knack for making perfectly attractive people look like awkward, bloated, derpy chipmunks. Basically, compare how decent some of their clothing looks outside of bodyline stock pics and apply the same principle to people's faces. They even made Nadia look kinda awkward and she's kawaii as fuck. If people want to sign up for the next modelling competition, you'd be just as well gurning in a mirror, taking pics and uploading them somewhere where they're guaranteed to get millions of views.
