I mean, those full lenses on Sollux are terrifying, and Aradia's horns and wig need a lot of work, but from what i can see, the rest of everything looks pretty good? Karkat's wig could use more volume, darker eyebrows too, but wow they have a cute smile, and their tiny horns are adorable.
That Sollux is pretty spot on though... even with scary contacts.

Is that something any of you've noticed at cons, though? How young homestucks seem to have issues just leaving their horns on? I've seen several Sollux cosplayers use sclera lenses, and it always makes them really unnerving to me. I know his eyes are a solid color in canon, but it doesn't translate well to real life without looking creepy, imo.

Is it weird that this is making me not want to cosplay HS anymore? It was already so simple to begin with, and now they're selling these horrible "cosplay" pieces and forbidding decent cosplayers from selling cosplays that are actually good. I can confirm this, Saturday's shoot was a disaster. The host moved the shoot into a cramped hallway and then screamed at everyone when they weren't close enough to the walls. They then moved everyone back to the original location, and kept aggressively screeching at everyone to move and shut up for a good 15 minutes until the shoot actually began (including gems like if you weren't in full HS cosplay you needed to leave). The location she picked was way too small for the number of people, so you either had to crush yourself into the crowd or risk getting yelled at. Tons of people left because the host was being way too nasty but I have no idea who she was... does anyone else who was there remember?

They would not allow people to walk back towards the con enterance if you went to the food court, for example, and you would have to go outside and all around back to the Sheraton enterance and then back up to the con area from there. Off the top of my head, Pyropi, Pearlgirl, Fromgilbo, Yaexrae, Crowmunist, and Striderian all have new things from year. The community's been kind of dead since Katsucon but I'd expect it to pick up again for the summer and the game. As for who they'd cosplay, who knows.

The wig is too curly and there isn't nearly enough of it. The choice of two different fabrics on the body suit is questionable, I've seen better on lesser cosplays. Otherwise the cosplay is excellent, for the most part, and she really excels in prop making and accessories.

Cringiness of the second half aside, I'm actually kind of impressed at how solid CBC/Yaexrae/Pearlgirl are at acting. They're good at being candid, if that makes sense? I really like Yaexrae's face - she's so expressive.

I've got a fresh wig that needs to be styled still and the horns I'll just dive into the masterpost and. I've made some before but that was last year when I found out Model Magic is complete shit. So I'm going with a foam core, paper clay top layer and regular headband mounting.
Also I'm pretty fucking hyped since I mainly see shitty Highbloods and I think I can do them justice.

found these shades and as non-reflecting blue glasses are so hard to find I decided to buy them for a future Tavrisprite. My concern is the bridge which feels a bit too blinged out, as well as the fact that the gold might clash with the rest of the colour scheme in white and blue. What would you gulls do?
