Okay so I'm female and I've tried cosplaying as a male character before, but all the tight sport bras plus the spanks fucked up my back horribly when I didn't even wear it for more than 2 hours. Even then I still couldn't compress my hips or boobs enough to get the damn look.

Now I know there's the whole 'cosplaying is for fun!' 'it doesn't matter what your body looks like in it!" yeah that's fine and all, but personally I'm not about to spend a lot of money and time to look mediocre.

There seems to be a passive aggressive resentment towards genderbends, but holy crap it sucks working so hard on a costume only for it to look weird just because of your body. So the question is: What are the known do's and don'ts of benderbends? Any what tips does anyone have from personal experience?

I'm kinda want to cosplay Sir Auron but I can tell you right now my 6'6 and 150 pounds is not going to pull off a buff 35 year old male.

For crossplaying, I can't really give any advice about hips aside from choosing cosplays with fits that either cover the hips or are not tight about them, which is limiting, unfortunately. As for boobs, invest in a good binder. They're made for transmen, but crossplayers use them all the time. Very effective at flattening out your breasts, even if you're busty.

Not OP but this is related and need answers.
I'm a generally fit and petite girl that does a lot of crossplays. I am pretty good at flattening my chest (32DD) to do an open chest bind. However, I want to be able to do a full shirtless bind but my problem is 1: Covering the tape 2: Not to reveal how far stretched my breasts are and for it to look natural. I also am investing in fake nips for the illusion and not look like some freaky Ken doll thing. I haven't found any answer on line for this trick, even on trans or drag websites. Please help!
