That's exactly why I got mine. I love my tattoos, but my white ones are in commemoration of things I want to remember but that I don't really want people to notice and ask me about on a regular basis. You can ask the artist to sink the lines a bit deeper and thicker to avoid touch ups because they are bound to fall out a bit, but with a touch up every now and then if you're feeling like it's not looking great you should be fine. Be forewarned that artists will try their best to discourage you from getting white tattoos, and/or encourage you to read more about them before you make your decision. This is because they have done white tattoos in the past and people over anticipate what it will look like, and come back blaming the shop for it being a white tattoo and behaving as such.
