CPAC is CastlePoint Anime Convention located near Hoboken in New Jersey. Too many sus ass niggas go to that con and honestly youre better off not attending cuz it seems to attract the worse cosplayers of both NJ and NY. Such scum and villainy if you ask me.

CPAC is Castle Point Anime Convention. It's at Stevenson College in Hoboken, but is more for casual cosplayers and shit. You get a few wannabe cosfamous cosplayers and photographers there, but it's mainly more for the college and teen crowd into the mainstream shit that's got everyone else already riding its dick

I've considered going to cpac before but I don't feel like going all the way up to Hoboken unless I'm selling art. I usually attend animenext and nycc every year,

Two cosplayers in the NYC area who are ranting about one another right now. One's a coswhore, who's known for skanky cosplays and promoting her own homemade otaku crap (mostflogged) and the other is not so much in the scene anymore due to work and marriage, but loves playing SJW and all about the Latina Pride (Sonified)

It got so annoying I had to unfollow both of them. Would like to just see them duke it out in Central Park.

CPAC last I went was still small, but that's what it is a small con at a college run by their anime club. It's great for being able to actually attend everything you want, or actually getting a spot if you want to run a panel.

i live in rochester too, it's been a shitty winter and the lack of good cons here don't help much. the cons on the college campuses are semi-decent but overrun by high schoolers.

Albany fag here, would it be worth it to travel the 2 to 3 hour ride to get there? From what I'm hearing it doesn't seem like it...

Yes it does. There are parts of PA that are a part of the NYC Metropolitan Area now. Leigh Valley, East Stroudsburg Area, and Pike County are considered a part of the NYC Combined Statistical Area.

Avoid the NYC comms (they're divided and don't like each other) at all costs. There's a bunch of drama elitism and just general side eyeing you shouldn't subject yourself to. Solo is actually for the better.

Just do your own thing, I have plenty of normalfag friends that love my clothes and encourage me to dress up with them and even go to btssb with me.
If you're really desperate for someone to hang out with don't join the 'main' comm (most of the prominent members are drama/fame hungry attention whores) or the 'ita' comm, try to find the lolita and the arts group, they're older, and mostly into classic but theyre nice at least.

My only advice is to find a group of lolitas that you are comfortable with. Yes many are a part of a large group, but they do break off into their own groups after meetups. Many older lolitas from NY are busy with their professional lives. Just don't end up with simply26.

It was about 30 minutes because it was only like three Anons and two trips and we all went to get food.
It was two lolitas, a guy from Dangan Ronpa, a guy dressed as Wilfred, a Venom Cosplayer and I think the rest were normalfagging.

It's really chill, since it's still a small con and all. But that means a lot of underage weebs, but you can easily avoid them. Pretty much all you need to know about it is mentioned here. Plus, Hoboken's a really nice town, so there's some good bars and shit on Washington Street to hang out after.
