The only 'purely' lolita shoes I have are brand shoes, which was pretty silly. I hate synthetic leather.
For normal clothing, I'm willing to pay more than the rest of my outfit for a versatile and sturdy pair of shoes that I will get a lot of use out of, so I want to do the same for lolita.

My thoughts exactly. I dont think I'll ever buy brand shoes again until they release some leather that I could keep in shape. I'm happy to pay the premium if they provided these as an option.

The Party Glitter Shoes may be an exception though.. I might cave.. They look like they'd look amazing on a glass shelf as a room decoration.

All I can think of are Jane Marple's 4-strap shoes and Victorian Maiden's short boots. Tea parties are still quite popular, though I dunno if they are "desired". AP's glitter shoes may be an exeption.

My personal favorite are offbrand shoes, because I find most brand shoes to be uncomfortable and I don't fit them for the most part (size L shoes tend to be too big and size M shoes too small) and I prefer real leather shoes because they last me longer and they are waterproof (this is really important for the wet and rainy area where I live).

I love all three of the Cabriole shoe designs by AatP. The pumps, the ones with frills, and the booties.

Unfortunately, while I am more than willing to spend $150 on a pair of shoes, I'd have to be able to try them on to make sure they fit.

I ordered a replica pair from Taobao. Hopefully the package will arrive eventually.

I would love to own brand shoes someday, but my feet are 26.5 cm so I the closest I can ever get would be VW RHS.

Not strictly lolita, but I just bought these last month for my up coming wedding and I am so in love! They're so beautiful and comfy, and I get so giddy just thinking about the little red heart peeking out from under my dress throughout the day.

And pic related shoes, I love them, but Bodyline's are sold out, and Antaina is charging $100 for them after shipping, which is ridiculous for shitty uncomfortable Antaina shoes. I'm hoping Yan restocks them with this apparent site overhaul.

I won't ever buy brand shoes just because they're too expensive for what you get. Secret Shop / Bodyline / Taobao shoes last just as long if not longer, usually for less than half the price. I would probably only consider it if they had a good sale on them, or it was a design I had to have that there were no replicas of.

So, I'm seeing a trend on Taobao (i.e Angelic Imprint, An*Tai*na, Cospunk, etc) where these shoes are considered Lolita.

I'm very attracted to them, but I don't know if the shoes would look good in lolita or would it look very costumey because they are technically Madoka Magica shoes (they do have them in many colors and sizes)

Have you tried on shoes like these before? The wedge makes the heel "feel" like it's shorter--once you get used to your gait in platforms they're really comfortable for walking, etc.

Yep. I've done wedges, platforms, and heels without much success. I tried my friend's on, because she said the same thing, that the platforms make it easier, and I still felt like I was going to eat it every other step.

I guess I should just suck it up and get a pair to practice, but I'm seriously fucking clutzy. All of my lolita shoes are either flats, or very low heels.
