Also please let me know if anyone wants reviews of anything. Can also review the forwarding process for US buyers. Currently fumbling my way through it and made a few mistakes:

1. Call you bank/credit card company before you try to order. Also I can't seem to consolidate my payments, so I have to make each order (aka each shop) a separate payment. So I asked my bank to also increase the number of debit transactions I'm allowed in an hour. You may also need to re-call when you go to pay your forwarder shipping bill.
2. You can only cancel 5 orders a day.
3. If you make a lot of international payments (more than 5-6?) alipay will put a 24 hour hold to verify the funds. During this time you can't "settle" (aka move stuff from your cart to buying stage) until your other payments have cleared.

That's what I have so far, I'm sure I'll make more mistakes before I get to the forwarding stage.

It'll apparently take about 30 days for my package to arrive (to the U.S.) via EMS. I was quoted up to 10 business days. Then checked the SS website and it says it can take up to 20 business days around holidays. I'm just kind of miffed at the high price for it to take so long.

The full celebration is 15 days, starting Feb 19th. To clarify, it's not a straight up 15 days of non stop partying, there's a schedule of different things to do on different days, like human day, day to visit graves, chinese valentines day, and so on, so it's not like you can just stop after two days.

Then there's the tradition that you must bring your wife and kids to your parents' home to have a family reunion dinner one day before Chinese New Year, which means that half of China is trying to cross the country before Chinese New Year, and try to cross back again a few days after. Have you seen the size of China? China's population is over 1.3 billion. So not only are the postal workers (and your ss and the taobao shop owners) gone from their offices, the public transport system is tied up in knots, taxed to its limit trying to deliver people where they wanna go. Ain't nobody paying attention to your shopping or where your parcel is at this time.

End result: dramatic halt for about almost a month, starting one or two weeks before Chinese New Year.

I'm also waiting another week or two before making an order. In the meantime I'm window shopping on some other sites comparing prices.

I got both the dark red and pink, they were about the same circumference.
It does stretch a bit when putting on, but kind of tight and it was sliding off my head.
Def. going to need to clip it in, and it does seems like the more wear it will stretch over time.
Though the way the embroidery is makes the top a bit stiff, so it sits kind of funny, or like flat.

are you referring to a peter pan collar? the term for that is in the dictionary. also I wouldn't bother including long sleeve or short sleeve in your search, as most of the time you'll be given a way to select it from a drop-down in the filter options (usually after sorting to women's clothing).

So, Bhiner has turned to complete bollocks since it went belly up, quoting massively higher shipping even than usual, got my country wrong, all account history including my large number of VIP points (so extra discount) gone, no photos taken, who knows if I'm actually going to get the order they have of mine since before cny or if it will be complete when it arrives, luckily it was one of my smaller orders.

Shame, since they have served me really well up until now, more than 20 orders through them each one a couple hundred bucks worth.

Depends on which one you choose, the one with the DHL/EMS logo for North America will repack and weigh everything separately so that they only charge you the weight of the item total (so no extra shipping bags/boxes weights were charged in the shipping cost). I do find the flat rate for the first however many grams to be a bit pricey though so only worth it if it's a big order imo. But they also had my box ready to ship the same day I paid my international shipping and got to my house within 3 days so totally worth it if you want your items asap.

finding gyaru has always been difficult on taobao, though. the closest you'll usually get is with stores like bobon21 and feizhiuluo, which are more cutesy-mainstream and himekaji if anything. the more over-the-top styles (rokku, hime, etc) seem to only crop up in either reseller stores with jacked-up prices or questionable knockoffs. I'll see what I can find, though, any particular requests?

Has anyone ever used a taobao shopping service to ship into Japan? I'll be in Japan for a while in the summer and want to place an order, but I don't really know anything about Japan's import rules and whatnot. I'm mostly interested in knowing how shipping to Japan compares to shipping to the US and if I should expect customs charges and/or parcel searches.

I did a few google searches, couldn't get any results. If anyone knows anything I would really appreciate it!
