he weather eased up a bit so I actually went hiking and did photos in Nameless Poem. I love the outdoors, and I love this damn dress

I think that's a good thing about it, though. There isn't much you can do with it, so there's not a whole lot of ways to mess it up. It's super easy to coord, so long as it's kept simple!

Pretty low-res I'm fairly sure, but whatever. I really like the pictures from this shoot, we had a lot of fun. The location is the gorgeous Oscar church in Stockholm, there's a school right next to it so we had like fifteen kids screaming at us from across the road OTL.

My most recent cosplay was Godot from the Ace Attorney series. This is the only pic I could find where my wig isn't derping up and my costume's fully in frame, also sorry for facebook quality. It's a revisit from last year, replaced the wig with something actually decent and added some padding to the mask so it didn't hurt as bad after a while.

Rewore Mega Swampert to Katsucon, had a blast! Currently working on new costumes and gotta get some use out of old ones~

Finally got some photos back of Sakura! It was one of my dream cosplays so seeing photos of it is so surreal and exciting! I really love being a giant purple cupcake!

ALA was the first time I got to cosplay at a con in a while so the most recent new costume I have is my Rogue... but I'm proud of it, so whatevs.

Any suggestions on how I can get my knee things to stop looking so floppy? They have interfacing in them, but I'm not above taking out the seam and redoing them if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks for the tips. I will add more volume when I am able to add more wefts because, as it is, the wig is really thin. In terms of the skirt, it only appears long because the shirt is shorter in comparisson. If I shortened the skirt, then my butt would be completely exposed.

Well, I wanted an excuse to get some Ravenclaw merch. It was also an excellent opportunity to practice photoshoots to me because I'm pretty bad at doing interesting ones, and with the HP universe it's a lot easier to create context than with the canon Homestuck universe, in my opinion. So that makes it easier to actually get around to doing something rather than just sit around and wait for good ideas or settings. For someone not used to proper shoots, it was pretty useful, also it was really fun.

Wore wedding Kotori to a con two weeks ago. Also wore the idolized furisode outfit, it was superfun cosplaying Kotori!

Yeah.. I wasn't able to figure out how to make it stay. I didn't want to pin it to my leg, but I didn't want to wrap it in a knot either. Next time I think Im going to try some velco and see how that holds. Safety pins are tacky looking, especially on a simple costume where it's more noticeable. Velcro probably would add a lot of bulk and I think something like sewing in elastic would bunch it up too much and probably will still cause it to fall since it would be over fabric on your leg. I'd recommend just using fashion/wig/toupee tape.

Agreeing with the chiffon comment. You can make the ears longer and frame them with wire so you can get the shape in the reference. Would have done something like blue crochet lace sewn on for with smaller white lace woven through the center for the trim... the stitching for the trim makes it look like it's just unfinished and stay-stitched together.

I don't believe that this is a well executed ouji look, but for normal clothes you look wonderful and it toes the line for aristo a bit for me. I'd say maybe add a nice hat and you'd have a great outfit. The jacket is really nice, though.

I think the jacket works! The more ouji to me is just more boyish. The shorts, tall socks, creepers, and top hat make it very much so for me, but of course you can go the more elegant route with tall boots and the like.

I really like the idea of one of AATP's pirate hats, though. Or, to stay more aristo, something like a wide-brimmed hat with some roses would be cool.

However, take my advice with a grain of salt. I haven't tried it for myself and am no expert; there are plenty of directions that you could go with it and I think you're definitely on the right path. I really do like the outfit in the second photo.

in this pic, buttcape wears a jabot, has the jodphurs like you said, and the jacket has a bit more flair (because of poof in pants probably). those small details make it more ouji-like. not sure how pumpkin pants would work with that jacket, but something shorter or with more shape than the tight pants you wore would help.

Silent hill fag here and i'm appreciating all that is happening here. Btw, are you planning on doing any makeup for the exposed skin areas? Not sure if it's just lighting and i can't see it. I can't tell you how many people go through with dirtying up the outfits but then do nothing to their skin, or, in the nurses' case, just put on shitty marker veins and call it a day. If you have the time to do this i'd recommend some liquid latex and doing some skin peeling effects or building up some areas. Also just making it look dirty as well as bloody would really polish this off.

Thanks! Actually that's a good idea and that would mean I'd be wearing something more appropiate for the summer heat here in Spain. I just did a little test with the full suit here in my room and as you can see my ears are soon to be matching colors with the beret, scarf and gloves.
