>> No.8116130

On the topic of jackets, are there any jackets but like the ones from Free that could actually be used during track season?

Has anyone on here bought a pre-made Eva track jacket?
I'd really like one since I cosplay Asuka and already like the style, but I don't know if I should splurge for a commission or take a chance off the eBay (or other sites anyone could recommend!) ones. If anyone's bought one, please let me know what you think of it!

I'm going to start working on a Squigly cosplay, I'll have to go to JoAnn's and pick out fabric there, but what do you think of the makeup and wig choices?

I'm leaning towards Ben Nye, since it's closer to the blue of the skin and I can just add white to lighten it?

Also, I've never made something that was form-fitting before, would a knit work alright for the skirt?

I'm going to use wrobla for the skull in the middle, and armature wire with model magic segments for Leviathan so I can bend and unbend it to put him on and off. I'll have the tail end come up and connect to my head somehow and then the head end will attach on the other side.

She doesn't seem to wear actual shoes (?) but I'll likely just make striped shoecovers.

I'm making a Palmon/Tentomon/Agumon in-training near-life size creations.

I'm going to have them in the in-disguise get ups they wore during the series. I plan on pushing them in a pram and having Palmon be in the get up Mimi forced on her when she pretended she was a doll.

I'm going to make them out of paper machine. A base for the head and body, and then superficial features.

For Palmon I need something to give a good finish to her green ivy skin. And for Tentomon I need a similar shiny finish.

Any advice on how to make models will be appreciated.

I recently used Mehron watercolor for an Orion costume. I preferred to use a paintbrush to apply it and it's easy to mix colors for a base application. Mix a lot, though, because if you run out and need to mix more it can be hard to match the exact shade.

When it comes to contouring body paint, it's better to use powdered eyeshadows than any sort of liquid that could smudge your base layer.

I use a medium shade and a darker shade of eyeshadow for contouring and then a nice lighter shade for my highlights. It is easier to blend and also acts as a setting powder for the make up underneath.

Then I spray my whole face/body with hairspray to make sure it stays put.

Knit could work, it will stretch, but be wary that it can stretch out of shape over time if you put it on a hanger or anything. It can also be hard to dart.

Thanks! I made part of an Etna cosplay out of spandex, so I'm not totally new to sewing with stretchy fabrics. I only made part of it because by the time I finished the top I didn't want anything to do with spandex for a long time.

I'll probably just keep it folded with my other cosplays, I just iron them out when I get to the hotel and they hang up for as long as I'm there, never any more than a few days.

ugh fabric suggestions....? I'm terrible at choosing and live in an area where most fabric shops only cater to shitty grandma crafting.

Looks like literal woven straw/reeds to me. Maybe incorporate wood and coat in acrylic or fiberglass for durability?
