Also, my entry for the often overlooked model kit contest is ready, but still needs to have its travel case prepared so it doesn't get damaged in transit.

Last year was my first year being able to legally drink at katsu and all of the bars within walking distance had semi bizarre rules (probably to keep awkward loud nerds out)
One bar you had to be twenty five, the next bar you had to have on a collared shirt or blouse. They turned us away because one of my friends had on a plain, solid colored t-shirt on.
I don't know about the bar in the Gaylord though. I can imagine it's unreasonably expensive.
Rosa has good drinks though. Their pomegranate margaritas are strong as fuck, and their sangria is delicious. And they have a million different types of tequila

I was at MAGfest recently and used the hotel bar (the one right under the gazebo). Had a large glass of pinot noir for $14. Beer was like $7 a bottle for normal shit, but the wine was priced okay. Everything else was way overpriced. A shot is like $10 or some shit.

After the wine I headed back up to my room for shots of tequila. There's really not much reason to use them if you bring your own. Rooms even have mini fridges.

No, a few people had said they lost their rooms this past weekend. Gaylord overbooked, because they assumed there would be cancellations, but they ended up booting rooms from people who only booked part of the weekend. So if you booked a room for Saturday, you had a chance at losing your room if you were recent. I saw at least 5-6 people bitching Saturday afternoon about that, but it wasn't as bad as MagFest, but at least that time Gaylord compensated clients for it, unlike this time.

None of this is Katsucon's fault.

We did suddenly have a couple people join our room because theirs fell through now that I think about it.

I'm glad I don't have to share a room with anyone this year. Shit's gonna be so baller.

Honestly if they used MAGFest's system (get in, get badge, gtfo and sign/lanyard it at another station) things would go SO MUCH faster...and there were maybe 7 volunteers registering people. MAGFest had less attendees and twice as many staff at registration. Why doesn't katsu make these changes?

Just letting you all as I stated in the past I hope none of you caught my friends virus. Recap my friend she has some sort of contagious virus and is usually a bitchy type person who gets pissed off easily. So she decided that rather than enjoy her con time she rather infect as many people as humanely possible by doing god knows what around the convention whether its coughing in public or running her hands on everything or shaking hands with people she is determined to get as many people sick as possible which is kinda stupid but she says she feels better about it if other people can feel her pain or rather she just wants to take it out on everyone else. I cant really say much cuz she is like my friend but I tell her I do not condone such behavior so its on her if she chooses to act as such and so I cant really do anything about it other than avoid her like the con plague which I have successfully been doing. Well just avoid her shes some short white girl thats not reallt attractive with like an overbite and glasses and brunette hair. If shes in cosplay she is most likely a hamsteak or some generic fem character version.
