Is this worth driving 4 hours? The website is pretty sparse for being so soon and the FB is clusterfuck, although that's typical of con FB pages.

If this is a complete unknown, Texas general thread?

Absolutely will not be worth it, anon. Do not bother coming.

I'm always hyped for A-Kon because it's the con that most of my friends can make it to so we all get to hang out. It's less about the con and more about the company for me.

I was kinda Underwhelmed by ikkicon, but Austin was fun.

I'm planning on A-Kon being the first con i cosplay at so I'm on a hard cut on weight right now and trying to figure out what to cosplay
But I'm always hyped for A-Kon as well

PAX SOUTH THIS WEEKEND AWWW YISSS

Question, what is the Con scene, even general fandom(s) like in Houston?

Not another fucking Texas general. Do people not remember how the last two ended? All it takes is one troll or vendetta-chan to set off every person in this state with a page and bring their white knight armies into this thread to fag it up.

Now who's looking forward to PAX south?

As long as we don't do a summoning spell for a particular person who I will not mention by mentioning them by name, I think we should be good. We've had some very fun and civil Texas threads, it's only when a few particular people are mentioned that things go to shit.
Also I wish I could go to PAX, my entire newsfeed is filled with friends talking about it. I go to college in a different state though.

I only got to go to pax on friday but it was fucking awesome.

>actually interesting booths

>saw tons of old friend
>decent cosplay everywhere
>[spoiler] video games [spoiler]

>been to Pat'os too many times
>5 hurricanes and two shots later
>partying with streamers
>making friends with everyone
>dueling pianists remembered who I was and DO IT FOR FREE
>people kept buying me drinks
>asian couples kept walking up to me and complementing my dancing when I jumped on stage and impersonated rick astly
>everyone kicked out at 2
>drunk 3am wataburger
>make random friends and crash on their hotel floor
>go home in the morning

I think as a method of release I have created a persona I assume when I'm dealing with such exquisitely kind people like yourself. I think its a perfectly fine escape mechanism from the dull regularity of life to shit post on 4chan. I assume if you've been stalking me so hard thread after thread you'd know that I've done plenty of other really shitty cosplays to add to the list of the shitty Bateman thing I did once. Trailer Park Boys, Hotline Miami, Killing Floor, TF2, etc. I have friends within the community, I drop in on /cgl/ every time a con is around, and it just so happened that the Penny Arcade Expo JUST happened! Oh goodness me. Where did my manners go?

That sign was on the security table. The security was a 3rd party hired by the convention, it wasn't their job to know anything other than how to scan badges.
