Mine was also vampire forest! But I got the Elizabeth OP in red. My first brand piece that I actually bought directly from the brand was lune d'eau from Juliette et Justine.

I'm really excited, though I would have preferred the navy colorway. I got it for $60 shipped so I can't really complain.

I'm starting to save to buy some firsthand burando when something I like pops up but I haven't been taken with any recent releases.

I might just bite the bullet and buy one of Baby's oldschool style JSKs.

Mine was the Chest Ribbon Strawberry floral jsk by AP.
It was cheap, because it missed the waist tie. Boy was I excited.
It introduced me to the gorgeous brand quality and very small brand sizing alike.
Once you go brand you never go back.

Jewellery Jabot OP in Black. I've had it for awhile, but I have yet to coord it or wear it out. I got it for around 90 shipped. I love it to bits, but I realised that it's not exactly the direction I wanted to go into lolita.

After getting it though, I realised that I can't buy anymore Bodyline, especially since it's unlined.

These socks were my first brand. I wasn't lucky enough to have a brand dress at first but as soon as i bought these socks i started buying brand like crazy.

It's currently my only BtSSB dress... After I bought this one I bought my first AP and preferred the quality!

I don't have very many prints(partially because I'm poorfag right now, but mostly because I like a lot of non-prints)

It's my favorite, I got it for a really good price($80 when it's normally selling for $150) and I don't think I would ever sell it.

Got them in January sales for 2013 but the headbow went on sale the day after I ordered.

Angelic Prettys Candy Sprinkle JSK set and Salopette set were my first brand pieces. I've sold the JSK set now though.

Jewelry Jelly switching JSK by AP in sax. I saw pictures of this dress online and that's what got me into lolita. When it arrived it didn't fit, then I lost 25 pounds. Brand gave me the incentive to lose weight.

Musee du Chocolat, (with a cream cutsew and some OTKs I can't find) it was a present for my 17th birthday from my grandpa - and since they were selling tea party tickets at the time my mother bought me one. It was the best birthday I've ever had and kickstarted my wardrobe. First time in the AP store too which was really fun.

Innocent World Ophelia JSK in black. I gave it away because it was a gift from my ex. Id buy it again if I ever saw it up for sale. It was beautiful.

Crystal dream carnival skirt in blue, with the matching OTKs and headbow. I measured myself a bunch of times when it was in the mail because I was so scared it wasn't going to fit. Getting that skirt on and having it look good (no lumps or muffin top) was one of my happiest moments in lolita so far.

Mine was the Metamorphose music lucky pack set, which was cute but didn't impress me as much as I hoped. Next I bought myself a black milky berry JSK and I was amazed by all the details and the construction...I couldn't stop touching it. I guess these details are still what makes me fall in love with a dress, as I tend to buy OTT classic dresses by Baby nowadays.

Mine was a super old Angelic Pretty bright pink maid style OP with detachable sleeves, apron, and a matching headress that i bought at yumieru musical paradise back in the day. It was the last angelic pretty i ever bought. It was honestly was too much dress for me.

Dreamy Dollhouse in pink was my first brand item, I also got it for cheap because it's waist ties were missing. I'm still in love with this dress.

BABY Tart Embroidery, bought new from the site shortly after they started taking PayPal for overseas orders. I still have it, though my style has changed completely and I wear it very rarely.

Alice Ribbon Kingdom OP in pink. I just loved the print. Got it second Hand and was so exicted, that I instantly tried it on after reciving it, only to notice a minute later that the dress smelled bad. Luckily the smell got out after a wash.
I sold it after a few wears because it was just too much pink, even though I still love the print overall.

milky chan op in black. came with the matching socks. not sure what i was thinking. (espically in black) i ended up selling it- i keep telling myself i'm done with sweet but i always end up crawling back, lol.

Pic related! I missed out on it at first, and then got it during the made to order. By the time it arrived, I'd bought three more brand pieces. No idea what happened, but it just set something off, and now I don't even look at bodyline anymore, except shoes. (Taobao is still ok)

Angelic Pretty Victorian Princess jacket. I bought it at a swap meet at a convention and I still love it so so much.

Metamorphose Vintage Cherry JSK. It was not only first brand, but my first lolita piece. I still have it and since I take good care of my stuff it looks great.

Elizabeth Rose JSK from IW. I bought it a year ago during a fall sale. I fell in love with it very hard and I still am, and definitely don't see myself ever selling it. That accent shade of blue is my favourite colour and I love florals, so it's pretty much the most perfectly "me" dress.

Conveniently, the dress is dark and thus not easily prone to staining, and I only paid ~$150 for it, so I don't mind wearing it often for fear of ruining it. I still try to take good care of it, but it feels good to put on a dress you both love and can feel comfortable it.

This hideous little number right here (the skirt). I got it for $30 on the comm sales. I was so pumped to get my first brand item and felt really lucky to get it for so cheap. It looked much worse on me than it does on the girl in this pic because I was overweight and it was too short for me. I wore it with a blouse I got at Goodwill (don't worry, I made it lolita by adding pink satin ribbon and pink heart shaped buttons to it), plain white tights, and black Maryjane flats. Wore my hair in a stylish ponytail and had no clue how to apply makeup correctly.

My first brand item was IWs Violets inside Mansions 3 Ribbon JSK. I was so hesitant about putting money into buying lolita since I had purchased four items from both Bodyline and HMHM only to have them look awful and poor quality. Then again, my HMHM purchase included the well-known devil skirt.

Pas de deux in the blue moon. I purchased this at Btssb SF along with a pink blouse, matching headbow, and pink socks. They were my first ever lolita pieces and i still wear them pretty often.

I'll be getting a second hand Melty Moon bag in Pink off my overseas friend in 2 or so months. She said it is basically in mint condition since she's never used it

This skirt. I still have it and love it. It's just such a versatile skirt.

I got this baby for a steal at $200 with the matching tights and found the bow for like $14 on closetchild. I feel bad, though. I've still yet to wear this out...

My first brand piece was an ollllld ass bag from BTSSB. I bought offbrand shit for a while due to lack of money, but when I moved to France, I got my first brand JSK at Baby Paris after hoarding my lunch money for months. The stock photo is shit, it's so rich and lovely in person; tapestry fabric that is actually a dark burgundy, not this washed-out brown bs. I still have it and it's still a fav.

Goddamn, reading the replies here make me feel like so many people are relatively new on here. Not that that's a bad thing, but a lot of these first pieces seem so recent and that's surprising to me.

My first brand was a simple cream velvet Baby skirt I bought second hand. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for it but I'm pretty sure I got ripped off. It has since been the only skirt I have ever bought in my 5 years as a lolita. I rarely wear it because I don't like how I look in skirts however I will never sell it for sentimental reasons.

Pic is the last time I wore it, back in 2011 when I didn't know how to coord. (or do my hair apparently. I can't believe I'm posting this.)

I've been thinking about maybe bringing it back out lately, it kinda makes me sad that it just collects dust in my closet.

A mystery asymmetrical OP from Atelier-Pierrot. (The model is not me, I just bought it after the fashion show was done.)

The rough sewing work made me convinced that this was either a prototype that never made it into production, or was originally a normal OP that got a sleeve damaged before the fashion show and had to be hastily hacked to be one-sleeved.

If anybody has a name for it, cool, if not, that's also cool. I can't wear very often except for occasions that warrant OTT outfits, but I love having it in my wardrobe.

My first -and only- brand was Sheep Garden OP in black. I didn't really mean to buy it. I just really wanted to chek AP's store in Paris (RIP) but to get to the store itself, you had to go in another store and ask a lady to take you to the AP store. Then, you had to enter a building and go into some kind of tiny appartment where the clothes and such were exposed, while the lady watched you and waited until you were finished. I felt bad about bothering her just to check out what they had so I forced myself to buy their cheapest dress, which was 311 € (yeah, they tended to overprice a bit...). I still feel like a total idiot when I think of it. Plus I have absolutely nothing to wear with it (my lolita wardrobe is very, very small).

BTSSB's Versailles Rose Bouquet Charlotte JSK. I was the first person to make a reservation with Tokyo Rebel when they switched over to BTSSB/AATP. It wasn't cheap as the Yen was really strong at the time, but it worth the $400 I bought it for.

It made me fall in love with IW blouses. I'd wish they still made simple classic blouses like this. The newer stuff is just too sweet for my taste.

My first brand was a lucky pack from innocent world. I got two dresses; a random dot jsk and a charles crown OP. While the charles crown OP didn't fit and has been sold, I am still searching for the JSK in pretty much any colorway. The print was absolutely gorgeous!! I still own the random dot jsk, I like toned down classic looks so it works great.
