Ugh I know, it's a mix of a bad bra and the weird fit of the bodice on the dress. I've got the same issue in June, but it's not as bad in December because I got a better bra. Unfortunately I can't totally fix the issue without removing my boobs, but hopefully as I lose more weight my cup size will go down and it wont be so bad

You should really stop wearing ill-fitting dresses. Your outfit for June looks really uncomfortable because of that. Also, half sleeves tend to look pretty unflattering; your July and August coords would look way better with a different blouse.

I'd say your second September coord's the best for me, if only because both your dress and your blouse looks flattering.

Here's my year of coords. (minus Dec) I started Lolita in May this year, so this is how much I've improved. Remember newbies always start out a hot mess. I'm pretty happy with my progress and it's thanks to the wonderful friends I've made since joining the fashion. :)

This isn't comprehensive but I really wanted to do a complete timeline that included 2005-2011 where things were just awful to show that even if you start with a polyester sissy dress you bought on ebay, you can still improve!

It looks a bit scattered since I'm transitioning from mostly sweet to classic. Hopefully 2015 will be more cohesive and I'll get a hang of styling my real hair.

Here's my timeline. Starting out I was a fuckin hot mess, still a kid just out of high school. Then 2011-2012 I took a bit of a breather from lolita to focus on my career training. But I started getting interested in other styles like gyaru. 2013 I was able to start buying lolita stuff again, but my tastes had changed into a more lolita/hime-gyaru hybrid style. And 2014 was mostly developing that style. I still wear my dresses and I want to work on coordinating them into more interesting ways next year.

Here's mine. I can't actually tell if I've improved or not, maybe /cgl/ could give me some advice. In 2007 I bought that wa-lolita yukata from Cosmates and it was the only "real" lolita thing I owned until I decided to get serious about the fashion right before my last year of college.

It took me until my second year to add much to my wardrobe. I was super poorfag my first year, then got a better job. Some people live with roommates/parents and can afford lots of things, others are more independent financially which doesn't always leave lots of disposable income. I'm going out on quite a limb and have decided to post a really, really sad timeline. I have a new computer, so most all of coord photos have been lost from 2007 until present, including those from the 2011-2014 gap, but whatever. It's also probably best that no one sees the ultimate trainwreck that was my 2007-2008 lolita. I started to step it up in 2009 when I started buying cheap second hand brand, but pretty much anything before 2010 is just flat-out shameful for me. I feel pretty good about my current coords, though.

This is probably against my better judgement, but eff it. I started out years ago commissioning and have gradually made it from closet cosplaying to closet cosplaying with alterations. I stopped using my own hair in 2012 and got into styling wigs and this last year I sewed my first boot covers (and belt... and choker... by hand...) and made my first large prop (which ended up being too large for my girl hands). I have too many hobbies. My stupid degree and health/home issues get in the way. I have only managed 4 or 5 cosplays and joined the Lolita community this year. I suddenly realised everyone has so many clothes, so much of it brand and sees to tailor their entire lives around lolita. Maybe one day I'll even manage a lolita Tumblr or something. I feel less like lolita is a fashion and more like an all encompassing activity I fail at.. The first step is forcing someone to take coord photos for me I guess.

Thank you! I actually really appreciate that. I feel somewhat silly to be at my current skill level, since I've been around for awhile and I'm on the older side, but I just started to actually TRY to do things for myself in the past three years or so, and I have some friends who are trying to get me to get over my fear of my sewing machine so I don't have to keep altering thrift store finds.

You can pretty much pinpoint the moment I started browsing cgl. I'm slowly removing Bodyline from my wardrobe, in this year I've cut it down from around 80% to 40%, so hopefully next year I can get it down around 10%

There are a few missing coords since I've gotten lazier with documenting my outfits. I think I've gotten somewhat better but only have strong coords for things that go with pink still. I've gotten and sold lots of things based on fit since I started. I plan on getting more accessories, cardigans, natural colored wigs, shoes and nonpink blouses in 2015. Happy new years, anons.

I agree with everyone that you would benefit from investing in a couple nice undetskirts. Not necessarily the crazy super long ones, since it doesn't look like you're much into classic, but just one that would bring some of your AP stuff to a better length.

Beyond that, I can really see how your coordination skills have improved. The colors and accessories all look a lot better in your recent coords.
