With January around the corner and upcoming EGL annual wardrobe posts, you can post your wardrobes here, not only lolita, but all jfash. Especially if you have too small to boast on LJ.
>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
>things you have and wish you had never bought
>things you sold and regret doing so
>changes your wardrobe has been through

>> No.8021569

>things you have and wish you had never bought
Bodyline Carousel skirt in sax
>maybe I should make it into a pillow.

>> No.8021573

Honest question here, what qualifies as jfashion? Anything Japanese or Korean or Chinese?

>> No.8021582

>>8021573
>j-fashion
>j
>as in japanese

>> No.8021585

>>8021582
You say that as if only things produced in Japan qualify. Please, that's not the fucking case. No need to be snarky.

>> No.8021588

>things you have and wish you had never bought
I have a couple of dresses that I've never worn and some are still in their original plastic. I'm hesitant to sell them as I mostly likely won't get back what I paid for them (purchased when the yen was strong, and the western market hasn't been great recently)

Definitely not going to buy any more dresses in 2015 unless it's a dream dress.

>> No.8021590

>>8021585
Not only stuff made in Japan obviously, but japanese style. If we go by your logic, Vuitton isn't French anymore.

>> No.8021643

>>8021582
I qualify it as J-fashion if there's a Tokyo street snap of it published somewhere. But that's just me.

>> No.8021661

Can we ask for help here? I would love to dress in classical lolita but at the same style in jfashion (I'm thinking streetstyle and himekaji) Only problem is I have no idea on how to go from a normalfag wardrobe to those styles.

>> No.8021663

>>8021588
You could list the up for trade, maybe?

>> No.8021666

>>8021590
My issue is that Japanese style is a little broad. Should I take pictures of my Yohji, my pastel colored skeleton accessory from etsy or my taobao sweater with Western celebrities on it?

>> No.8021670

>>8021569
Do it. it will be fab and some people will be piss mad. It will be entertaining. Document while you're doing it as well

>> No.8021674

>>8021670
Why would they be mad? That would be funny if they were...I just never wore it. I'm not sure if I've even taken the tag off. I like to look at the print but likely will never wear it.

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
More berets, hats in general, cardigans, socks and plain pieces. I wanna go on daily basis and need some appropriate outfits for that

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
see above

>are you happy with your wardrobe?
Finally yes. It took me a long time to be satisfied and now i don want to sell a thing anymore, just buy new stuff

>things you have and wish you had never bought
sold/traded eveyrthing I disliked. But just a while ago I bought a dress from an indibriedn which I was very unhappy with it. Gladly itś gone

>things you sold and regret doing so
Moitie lace print skirt and Moitie neckholder JSK. I thought I will never fit in it but lost weight pretty quick. Also I learned how to sew and can perfectly alter everything now

>changes your wardrobe has been through
from some weird mix of gothic sweet to a mature gothic and classic wardrobe

>> No.8021781

>How would you like to improve your wardrobe?
I need boleros and more cardigans, more blouses would be nice too.

>What would you like to buy in 2015?
Princess sleeved blouses, more brand socks and matching accessories for what i have, and some wishlist dresses hopefully.

>Are you happy with your wardrobe?
I'm pretty happy with it. I finally have my own style and i know what works for me and what doesn't, so it's a lot easier to buy stuff now.

>Things you have and wish you had never bought
I don't really regret buying anything that i have, although i have had things that i regret buying because i lost so much money on them. I bought the SCH apron skirt with matching accessories last year for $350 because muh dream dress and i ended up selling it for half that because it didn't suit me. I also seriously overpaid for Loyal Rosette when it came out because i used an in store SS for the release, ended up getting it in brown which was the least popular colorway and was in stock for ages. I can't see myself selling that any time soon though.

>Things you sold and regret doing so
I sold a couple of things i regret this year. I miss my Alice Mirage in Paradox JSK and BTSSB Gingham Riding Hood JSK but i will live.

>Changes your wardrobe has been through
This year has been a big year in lolita for me. I did a complete style shift from super sweet pastels to classic/sweet and classic, muted ivorys, browns and navys, so i only have one dress left from the previous year.

>> No.8021782

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
More small pieces, like boleros, cardigans, socks, and the like.
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
about 4 more main pieces, but mostly things mentioned above.
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
I love everything in it now, but its still rather small. I only have 8 main pieces.
>things you have and wish you had never bought
I sold everything I didn't like, but when I was first starting I bought like 5 bodyline dresses that I am happy about getting rid of.
>things you sold and regret doing so
Melty ribbon chocolate jsk.
>changes your wardrobe has been through
I started this year (first year) Super pastel ott sweet, then went hard gothic. I have mellowed out with some really nice gothic outfits and some more toned down sweet pieces and I love my little collection now.

>> No.8021830

>>8021666
All of that. That's why it's 'j-fashion wardrobe' and not 'this specific style wardrobe'. Yohji is definitly really j-fashionish in their minimalist kind of gothic style, and the rest can be fitted in wonky street fashion outfits without any problem.

>> No.8021885

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
I want to get more accessories to make more soild Coords. I have a lot of dresses but i have a hard time finding nice things to go well with them.
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
i would like to buy a few Chest Story Jsk's and a good few new blouses.
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
i think it is okay, It's not that impressive as i've only just started into Lolita, but for a beginners its quite decent.
>things you have and wish you had never bought
>things you sold and regret doing so
i have yet to sell anything,
>changes your wardrobe has been through
Well as i said, i've only just started but the biggest change is that i've lost weight and can fit into stuff better if that counts.

>> No.8021886

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
I need more blouses, shoes, and bags. Right now I can only make 1-2 outfits per main piece, which frustrates me slightly.

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
Lots and lots of chiffon blouses. Also hopefully a couple dream pieces.

>are you happy with your wardrobe?
It has a lot of room for improvement, but I love what I have so far, so sure.

>things you have and wish you had never bought
That bodyline clock OP. I bought it back when I was a newb and thought bodyline was the same quality as brand. I'm a bit embarrassed to have the go-to ita dress in my closet, but I can't bring myself to sell it. At least I have it in gray...

>things you sold and regret doing so
I actually haven't sold anything yet. I tend to buy for keeps because I don't want to lose money selling things. This means I'm generally pretty cautious about what I buy, though.

>changes your wardrobe has been through
I got a couple dream pieces this year, but other than that nothing has changed. It's still an all over the place mess.

>> No.8021897

>>8021569
That would be a cute pillow. Better than a skirt. Would do.

>> No.8021915

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?

more simple dresses and more oldschool

>what would you like to buy in 2015?

plainer black JSKs and OPs and more black and maybe white blouses

>are you happy with your wardrobe?

yes, though it needs a bit more improvement

>things you have and wish you had never bought

maxicimam cutsews in size M. they are a tad too big

>things you sold and regret doing so

my whimsical vanilla chan JSK in black, I loved the print but I know it doesn't suit me

>changes your wardrobe has been through

I bought a lot of dreamdresses, added more brand blouses and added red and brown to my overall black wardrobe

>> No.8021929

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
More blouses, socks/tights, boleros, and a short lolita-appropriate winter jacket. I've come to realize I'd wear Lolita more if I had more basics.
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
Lots of blouses/socks/tights, maybe a dress from my wishlist, tea parties in mint, black, and sax.
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
For the most part, yes.
>things you have and wish you had never bought
I don't even have it in my possession yet but I bought the AP Mary Romance Doll in black and I know I'm going to have to sell the JSK. It's not my style at all.
>things you sold and regret doing so
None
>changes your wardrobe has been through
I purged all the replicas I'd bought as a beginner and lots of offbrand/Bodyline that I'd bought just because it was cheap.

>> No.8021934

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
I'd like to add more blouses, socks, accessories and a few bags to round it out a little better. There's also more main pieces I'd like to own.
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
Definitely more blouses and legwear and obtain some of the dresses I've been wanting for awhile.
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
I'm fairly happy with it. I had to sell off a lot of items this year leaving only the pieces I'm extremely fond of but in doing so, it left huge gaps. Now I have shoes and socks that don't really match anything.
>things you have and wish you had never bought
I bought on impulse a lot this year. Namely, the Moonlight Night JSK as it looks horrible on me and now I can't sell it. I should've just waited and bought the skirt like I ended up doing later on.
>things you sold and regret doing so
A decent percentage of the stuff I ended up selling this year. Even though I loved the prints, there was something about the color, cut or condition I wasn't too fond of. So I had to rationalize parting with them for that reason. I might rebuy some of the items I sold later on though.
>changes your wardrobe has been through
Bodyline and replicas to Super OTT sweet AP, started adding in classic and sweet/classic items, sold a chunk of the classic items (fit reasons), now back to AP sweet that's a little more toned down with a small amount of classic left. I predict I'll be adding more sweet things in browns/chocolates, and lavenders/mints within the next year.

>> No.8021939

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
I'd like to get more accessories and take a break from buying so many dresses. I'd also like to stop buying so much stuff and start handmaking some stuff since it'd be cheaper and be a way for me to distinguish myself and look more unique. Buuuut... I say that every year.
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
A chocolate bar purse, Sweetie Violet JSK, Meal Time OP, some fancy boleros, like 10 ETC JSKs, some Milk and Jane Marple JSKs, and a plain black purse, plain brown purse, and plain ivory purse.
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
I love all of my dresses but I'd like more accessories.
>things you have and wish you had never bought
Sometimes I regret buying Iron Gate because I spent so much money on it and I'm basically only going to wear it once a year. And I'm worried that I couldn't sell it for as much as I paid for it. Also I have a few AP skirts that I bought, instead of the OPs and JSKs, and now I wish I'd bought the dresses instead because the skirts are all sliiiiightly too tight on me. But I could probably just get off my lazy ass and lose some weight.
>things you sold and regret doing so
Nothing, I have a hard time letting go of stuff so I hang onto it for a long time until I'm sure I don't want it. I probably have a bunch of stuff I should sell but haven't.
>changes your wardrobe has been through
When I started out in lolita I bought like 4 Taobao and 4 Bodyline dresses and now I've sold pretty much all of them except 1 BL dress that I can't part with for nostalgia's sake.

>> No.8022507

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
I'm happy with my progress, but there are still things that I feel I need to make my wardrobe better/more well rounded.

>things you have and wish you had never bought
Be My Full Moon JSK I bought at a convention before I started lolita, and Infanta's Dreamy Dollhouse OP ( I think that's the name.)

>changes your wardrobe has been through
I started outed as Sweet with all pastels, but now I have a lot of dark colors as well. I'm starting to lean more towards warmer tones, like reds and browns. I still have a few sweet pieces though.

>> No.8022521

>>8022507
oops, forgot to answer the first two.
>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
I need more shoes and cardigans. I also need more berets or other hair things. I just cut my hair really short too, so I need more wigs.

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
Pretty much the stuff listed above, as well as more tartan pieces.

>> No.8022680

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
Being able to actually wear it once in awhile would be nice. I currently have a job where I get very dirty, so I can't wear anything there, nor do I get to wear it out as often as I'd like. I don't participate in the local comm and don't have any local lolita friends.
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
Honestly not sure. I can't really think of any kinds of items I'm in need of.. maybe some more basic skirts and JSK's if I get a new job where I can wear them. Old IW probably.
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
Very!
>things you have and wish you had never bought
If just stuff from this year, nothing really. In general, I have a lot of crappy offbrand accessories/socks I'm never going to use that I bought in my early days. They're just taking up space in my room. Some F+F skirts, too.
>things you sold and regret doing so
Nothing yet, luckily.
>changes your wardrobe has been through
For this year, I got a lot of wishlist items and stocked up on shoes this year as well. Also some more color pieces.

>> No.8023263

I'd like to see that yohji

>> No.8023296

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
Any cohesiveness at all, really, would be nice. I feel like I have a convention wardrobe full of pastels and loud prints and a separate meetup wardrobe full of solids and more toned down stuff.

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
I hope AP comes out with more things like DDC. It is pastel and sweet but I feel like I can go OTT or very casual with it because of how elegant the print is? Like, it is everything I like and kind of brings the two sides of my wardrobe together.
Also, all and all I have been making a huge move to more classic pieces, I need stuff to support that.

>are you happy with your wardrobe?
I am, I have some stuff I need to sell and new things to buy, but I am OK with where I am at

>things you have and wish you had never bought
Chess chocolate. Looking at the adds I know why I fell in love with it and I do enjoy the dress in theory but I have worn it once and just want it out of my closet. The pink is to dark, the contrast it to high. I should have gone with ivory.

>things you sold and regret doing so
Lief Sacred Night in ivory. I sold it for a large price and bought another dress I love but fuck I miss it, I want to buy it again but it is always so expensive.

>changes your wardrobe has been through
I started out with mostly black and red, then pastel vomit, now I like more muted colors or elegant pastels. The problem is I don't sell much so I still have all of these trends still in my closet.

>> No.8023336

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
Buy more of everything, especially JSKs, skirts and legwear. I'd really like some more natural-looking wigs too.

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
The above is how I'd like to improve it but what i really need is more accessories. I realised today I'd have 3x as many meet-worthy outfits if I had more hair accessories. I have a lot of dresses that I can almost make multiple coords with but don't have headwear for all of them.

>are you happy with your wardrobe?
Kinda? I do have a problem with a lack of hair accessories, but I think I'll definitely be able to get it to a stage where I'm pretty happy with it within the next year. I just feel guilty because it'll take me about $1500 to do so (I can budget for $125 a month to spend on frivolous things and there isn't really anything I want to spend it on more than lolita, I just feel bad sinking all my part-time job money into the hobby when one parent is unemployed and the other is a low-earner). I'm also moving out next year and wondering if I should save for that, but I know my student loan and grant will be pretty generous because of my parents' financial situation and it should cover the costs of all the stuff I need to buy for that anyway.

>> No.8023341

>>8023336

>things you have and wish you had never bought
A clock bag. It doesn't really match any of my wardrobe thematically and I don't really like clocks as motifs, I just liked the way it looked. Plus it's a knockoff so it doesn't even have resale value. Also: sweet white boots. They're really cute but my style has moved away from sweet and I've realised that stark white doesn't suit me so they don't really match anything I own. Plus I've already scuffed them so they won't sell for much.

>things you sold and regret doing so
I don't actually have anything I regret selling (although there's plenty I regret not buying).

>changes your wardrobe has been through
I originally thought it was going to be a lot more gothic than it is now (I'm majority classic now), and didn't expect to ever want to own chiffon blouses. I'm also considering selling off a lot of the Bodyline pieces I started off with, not because I've had a sudden epiphany about their quality now I own brand but because most of their nicer pieces are OPs. There's only a couple of ways you can coordinate a black Bodyline OP, and however much you change the overall look of the outfit with accessories (oldschool, modern sweet, or gothy and slightly ero) with the accessories, everyone at a meet will still instantly recognise it as one of the four Bodyline dresses they've seen hundreds of times before. Same with that dang bustle skirt. They're not bad pieces but they are so overused they're boring.

I did the same thing, anon. I sold it to a college area thrift shop.

Get a bigger closet because that's the only way all the Lolita stuff will fit. I also need to throw away old normalfag clothes and sell some things because my drawers are overfilling.
>what would you like to buy in 2015?
That cake OP featured in the recent AP party. Also on the lookout for older Meta stuff.
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
I am very happy with my wardrobe. I recently wore lolita for a few days straight and I was surprised at how easy it was to coord and wear something fresh.
>things you have and wish you had never bought
Things in multiple colorways. It's so hard to let go but I know I will have to eventually to make space.
>things you sold and regret doing so
Nothing. I don't sell unless I am sure I can't use it myself.

Brand JSK, some chiffon blouses, underskirts
>are you happy with your wardrobe?
Mostly. I want more Japanese brand and to make handmade things and buy less cheaper stuff and off-brand in 2015. Quality upgrade slowly.
>things you have and wish you had never bought
2 things I'm embarrassed to say. Cheap costume things I thought would go with Lolita but are ita.
>things you sold and regret doing so
Nothing, I haven't sold things.

Bodyline and offbrand to more brand. Plain unprinted dresses to adding more prints.

>> No.8026670

This is how I feel about all the bodyline in my wardrobe, bar one skirt that came with the luckypack I got last year. I used to make bodyline orders all the time because the instant gratification got me through times when there was nothing I wanted on the comm sales. So much wasted money and regret.

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
More. Fucking. Blouses. And only brand blouses. While preparing for my first wardrobe post, I counted 25 main pieces, and I only have four blouses (two black, one white, one cream). I have no idea how I've been able to coord anything the last three years.

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
More BTSSB, mostly blouses, but maybe the odd main piece. I honestly think that they're the highest quality brand out there atm.

>things you have and wish you had never bought
bodyline, see above

>changes your wardrobe has been through
I've gone what most lolitas might term "backwards": I started off with the aim of being classic to the core, have ended up with a wardrobe full of sweet as fuck AP. Whoops.

>> No.8026710

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
focus less on main pieces. i need more shoes, accessories, wigs, and socks/tights. it's been too easy for me to impulse buy dresses when i really need more of other items. i also want to sell off the rest of my overly classic dresses.

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
see above -- mainly SHOES. also i want to start wearing otome.

>are you happy with your wardrobe?
pretty happy!

>things you have and wish you had never bought
MM's apollonia OP. i wanted it when i was into classic and i found it for such a great deal, so i bought it even though it matched nothing in my wardrobe.

>things you sold and regret doing so
nothing yet.

>changes your wardrobe has been through
a huge shift from a mm-style classic to sweet. now my closet is mostly chocolate-themed with a few of baby's classic dresses.

>> No.8026942

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
I'd like to move more colors from the "accent" category to the "staple" category. "Staple" colors are ones for which I have multiple tops, accessories, and legwear, plus a bag, shoes, and outerwear. "Accent" colors are ones for which I have at least one top and one set of legwear plus accessories. At the moment my staple colors are brown, black, ivory, wine, and gold. I want to move navy and maybe gray to that category.

>what would you like to buy in 2015?
I finally have enough blouses and legwear, so I'm actually looking to expand my main pieces.

>are you happy with your wardrobe?
Pretty happy. I sold a lot of things I didn't love last year and moved into only buying wishlist pieces and making my own stuff. Also I finally sufficient petticoats to be prepared for everything.

>things you have and wish you had never bought
Krad Lanrete's Phantom blouse in four colors. I bought them because I knew they'd be hard to find later if I changed my mind, but I have yet to wear any of them.

>things you sold and regret doing so
None really, I tend to err on the side of hanging on to things if I have doubts.

>changes your wardrobe has been through
I was print-crazy for a while, but now I'm extremely picky about what prints and have more solid pieces with interesting designs. I also went from an almost exclusively JSK wardrobe to lots more skirts since I wear them on a daily basis.

>how would you like to improve your wardrobe?
