Haven't played in months but I've finally got it on my smartphone. Hit random room to get hearts and ended up in Psy's.

I'm about to upgrade my room while it's cheap.

Is anyone else really pissed about the update to Fruit Monsters? I'm at level 130 or so, and there is no way I'm going to be able to get all 60 stars to get to the next area.

Used to play the thing basically for Fishing. That game was both more relaxing and more intense than it had any right to be. Then it was draining too much of my phone battery to actually use it well (and screw carrying my charger with me everywhere, can't always plug it in for a while). Might go back to it now that I have a better phone. I wanted to get into avatar customization but it seemed way too much work to get anything worth using.

I just started playing this and I totally lost! wtf is FC? and what are those codes that people put on their description??

A month or two ago I was working my way up fruit monsters since there are prizes I like in later levels.
Then I realized how fucking hard it is to get enough stars for the third+ prizes.
Am I wrong and the stars stack? Ie if you get 1 star on one level and do that level 5 times you'll get five stars? Or do you really need to get three stars on pretty much every level in order to get all prizes?

I also wish there was a quick list to go to your friends' rooms like there is in CocoPPa play. I want my gem farming to be personal while I watch their rooms grow. I actually made some friends on cocoppa play since we'd comment on how each others' shows were changing.
There's no motivation to visit friends' rooms when mashing random is so much easier. Cocoppa is easy and it gives you bonuses.

I want to play cocoppa again, but I switched phones and forgot to back it up. Plus it was super money grabby. Line play is cuter and bigger with more to do, even if it's less personal.

Yeah, even in fruit monsters, you have to use the cash thing to buy certain boosts or even five extra turns.

for new players who don't know - if LINE play advertises some new official avatar, chances are you can visit them in their room and rack up an extra +50 gems each for cleaning, watering, and heart-ing their avatar. the icons will shine like in pic related.

you can add official avatars from the add + / recommended tab.

Finally got the Rainbow Garnet aura! Mixed some items together to get almost a full rainbow.

yes and no. there are some time-limited items that you can only get for a weekend/couple of weeks/month and then they disappear (either forever or for a long while), but some of the gachas have been up for what feels like forever, though they do get cycled out eventually.

they've also been bringing back the most popular item sets from the past year recently as well, usually while they're also having a sale.

that's a carpet + rug combination. you can't set down two carpets/floors on top of each other, but you can layer rugs on top of floors. some of the rugs are really small and you can basically tile them, while others are bigger and just take up a chunk of space on their own.

I had a question about the gatchas. I have almost all the items from one and all I'm missing are the 2 star rare items. How hard is it to get those kinds of items? Is it still worth putting gems into trying to get the rare stuff?

I changed phones yesterday (from android to iphone), and now it doesn't let me start the app?

You can communicate with people in some areas, like the parks and towns.
It's pretty easy to get into but the gachas will suck your gem count down fast.
You can get around paying IRL money but there's a really good incentive for first time buyers for gems so it might be worth it to spend money once.

Okay i've been playing for a couple days now, and it reminds me more of this facebook game called "Foopets" that I used to play, especially with the going to people's houses and cleaning their shit. It doesn't have the same sense of community I remember from TM, but that may just be the difference between a website and a phone app- nevermind nostalgia might be rearing it's ugly head and making me remember everything way more fondly than it was.
But it's fun, even though the Gold Rush game makes my phone heat up and lag. I really need to save up more money to get new eyes, though.
